Blonde cop should probably lose her job since that was clearly out of line. She was threatening her with jail and abusing her authority. The woman gave her name (she was being bitchy). Then, the woman reacted as you would expect when she was being dragged out of the car and now they are gonna try to slap her with a charge of assaulting a police officer...Also, the woman was sitting in the passenger seat of a car...even if she were intoxicated (which she probably wasn't), that doesn't justify the actions of the cop.

I'm still not sure what the grounds for pulling her out of the car and arresting her was. Cop wouldn't let her explain herself. This was clearly a case of the cop's ego being way out of control and abusing her authority over the girl.

In the video the blonde cop threatens her with Public Intoxication. She was of course in the passenger seat so I thought it was odd to charge one with Public intoxication as a passenger. But I did look online and in some states the state can legally charge you with PI because they consider a car a public area. That's a pretty ****ed up law.

Was it justified? By Pennsylvania vs. Mimms (case law) SCOTUS approves that a police officer ordering a person out of a car during a traffic stop and conducting a pat-down to check for weapons does not violate constitution 4th amendment.

The individual (possibly intoxicated) in this video at the beginning was explained how (presumably another occupant of the vehicle) is being placed arrested and taken to jail. After ~2 minutes this individual is arguing with the officer and conducting herself (arguably) in a disorderly manner.

This individual proceeds to give an incomplete name, therefore giving the officer even more reasonable suspicion to further investigate. Then proceeds to resist being detained by law enforcement.

She probably caught multiple charges including disorderly conduct, resisting/assault on an officer, obstruction, etc.

She wasn't conducting herself in a disorderly manner. She was asking for information and was upset about her friend being arrested. The police officer acted unprofessionally and escalated the situation. I am sure she caught assault, disorderly conduct, etc, but I bet you the case will be dismissed when this video gets around. The officer will almost certainly be reprimanded for her conduct here.

Cops are supposed to be trained to deal with these kind of emotional responses.

Also, let this be a lesson to everyone. NEVER resist a cop. Don't fight back. Don't mouth off. Stay calm. Even if you didn't do anything. Just remain calm. Ask for a lawyer. Make sure you are as polite as possible and attempt to de escalate the situation because they can literally engineer a way to kill you and get away with it. They have absolute power in those situations, and there is little you can do to escape at that moment. It is best to try to have a friend record the encounter, and then to make your case later. This sloot could potentially get charged with a felony and have her life ruined all because she reacted like a normal human to this cop's bitchy attitude.

The situation starts to "escalate" when the she is ordered out of the vehicle after she gives the officer erroneous information regarding her legal name (which can be a misdemeanor or even a felony in some states). By Pennsylvania vs Mimms (case law) it made it a legal command that she had to step out of the vehicle - to which she resisted and therefore dug her own grave.

I guarantee you, the chances are high that if she had just stepped out of the car on her own she probably would've been on her merry way within 10 minutes once the last name **** was cleared up.

There's nothing wrong with being a little rude, but the way she emotionally reacted to it and threatened to arrest her is fuked up. Cops don't go around threatening to arrest people to subdue them. They either have cause to arrest or they do not. They are not supposed to be emotional or use it as a way to assert authority over people. If a cop threatens to arrest you and you have done nothing and they do not have probable cause at that moment, the cop is basically provoking you and is also technically assaulting you.

There's multiple cases where officers use the threat of an arrest as an attempt of deescalation - example: airports in the United States where on the customs booths 18 U.S.C. § 111 is quoted.

What you're not understanding is that the person in the video dug her own grave. Like I said, she was legally ordered out of the vehicle and had to comply (again, under case law Pennsylvania vs Mimms) and resisted doing so and in the processes acted disorderly, assaulted multiple officers and resisted arrest at that point.
