Anyone here gets negative vibes though from people who hint that you should "act your age" and not pretend to be young? Sometimes I get that from coworkers. Could be jealousy but you'd be surprised how being older and reasonably fit can somehow be seen as a weird or strange thing. And I get more of this flak from older women who somehow dislike the fact that I'm trying to stay fit at my age.

Formerly fat lady here and it is such a head trip.
Saw a group socially that I had not seen in 6 or 7 years. They had all gotten fatter, some much fatter. I went from being the fat one to one of the two thinnest. One guy messaged me later apologizing because he legit didn't recognize me.
Had my own mom making comments about how she "missed me" because hugging me wasn't the same, or IOW disappointing. Has regularly said she is jealous and also asks how I can "make yourself do it", or IOW go to the gym.
Don't even think I'm skinny and still "feel fat" at times. Mostly want to maintain and never gain it back because being fat really sucks as you get older.

Some of my fellow seasoned citizens might think I'm odd, as I do not dress like I'm a seasoned citizen but i do not care what others think.
Then again my sig below was from a fellow seasoned citizen lady... so maybe I'm still turning some heads...LOL!

One of the bigger conundrums i face is you go from not having an abundance theory mindset to having one. Theres very little incentive to have marriage/kids because you start to realize someone will always be available for dating/sex if you take care of yourself.

47, Dad, Married for 20 years
Haven't missed a workout in 30 years. Nothing changed with my health and fitness lifestyle when I "settled" down. All about having discipline. Anyone can do it. Most are just lazy and would rather cry that they can't.
Do get tired of others my age trying to make me seem like the weirdo though because I give a **** about staying in shape. Fook those folks.

Life gets harder as you become older. **** happens. Don't get me wrong because I wanna stay in shape for the rest of my life but I imagine many of these people who are out of shape have other stresses in their lives.

My favorite is "you are so skinny, you need to eat something, etc.." and they are serious. With such a large segment of the population overweight, people generally don't understand what is considered actually healthy. People need to look up a height/weight range chart to get a good idea. Obviously they aren't a perfect study but when you are 30+ pounds over and don't work out..... We had free health screenings at work and out of close to 60 people, I think there were maybe half a dozen that didn't have weight, cholesterol, or blood pressure problems. Also, the 4 nurses that administered the screenings were all REALLY heavy.

Guy i work with literally has a stomach like he's 9 months pregnant. I even joke with him saying, "if pregnancy can reach 15 months, the stomach will look like yours". Then he got mad and say, "yeah because you don't know what life is, i have 2 kids and a wife".
Then i start to think, "That's life?????" LOL remind me to never have kids. Although i do wanna marry.
Some people justify their actions by criticizing others for their actions. You can never win.

It’s about not being a bitch and doing what you have to.
LOL@ ppl here saying “working out is not what they focus on, they have other things they do” just LMAOOOO
There is no excuse to be a fat slob, or skinny fat. Excuses, everyone has them. Go be lazy somewhere else
I see all my high school friends almost all of them fat. Ex gf almost all fat too.
And I’m like, got to hit the gym 4 times a week and work

This is actually one of the truest facts. Post 30 if you kept in shape and didn't abuse your body you legit become a semi-god because almost everyone is a nasty fat kunt or a skinnyfat nerd at that point. At 24 years old I already see/have seen a lot of the people I know just turn into piles of walking chit.
