Yeah fuk that. Im not normally claustrophobic or against doing cool/dangerous things but I am never crawling through some narrow ass cave passage that I dont know I cant get back out. I would go into a wide open previously explored cave. I will go diving, mountain climbing, sky diving, shark cages all kinds of chit. But no thanks jeff for that caving chit.

The passages are literally too tight. There isnt enough space for someone to grab on their backs. Then there is a huge amount of risk, even for professional rescue divers, kids panicking and pulling on their scuba equipment, the kids dont know how to swim or dive and they would have to be able to move and do it on their own with the divers in front and behind them.

Put it another way, they managed to get themselves 2 miles deep into this cave, pass such narrow passages that were dry before but now flooded out and underwater and the best rescue divers in the world think they have a better chance of surviving by waiting until October than trying to swim/dive out it.

It seems like most people here can’t understand why they don’t get them out easily with diving teams. It’s because the cave is flooded with coffee-like water. Experts told, that the divers didn’t see ANYTHING. It was even very risky for the best divers. The two who found the kids were considered one of the best in the world.

Now guys really asking why they can’t get them out with diving teams?! These kids never dived, never experienced the feeling of diving. If you panic while under water in a cave you’re DEAD. Plus you can’t see anything you only can feel your way in a extreme narrow system.

Best thing to do is keep them down there and drill from above to get them supplied.

Also they went in 1 week before the advertising sign before the cave. It’s most likely a problem of the cave security activities than a true mistake by the group. Well of course it wasn’t the greatest idea but it wasn’t prohibited or advertised as life dangerous ON THE 23rd June.

Hope these kids make it out alive.
