its not like we are assessing the danger in the casual sense of something you would do on your own. none of this is particularly safe but none of it is particularly fatal.

they are probably eating better now than they usually do lul the big threat was hunger and nourishment

once they get the energy they will make it. each one will meekly go one by one and all this talk about them being retards who “cant swim” will be silly
no guarantee the person being saved doesnt panic, freak out, scream (underwater) and end killing themselves and maybe the person rescuing.

When you are trying to save someone, you don't put the rescuer or the victim in a situation that can cause more harm.

That's one thing, but the opposite can be a thing too. Like projecting a retardation on those kids that wasn't there.

Like being 50 years old and it was so long since you were a teen that you forgot what it was like and you bundle all young people under some blanket of sub-sentience is a real phenomenon.

I remember being a kid and playing sports and being very clever and athletic even as early as 11 or 12.

Looking at the video they all seem very well mannared somber and polite kids willing to accept help in a very polite means and seem to be calm and organized. They just want to get home.

They look like if they were afraid they would be too meek to have a freak out and would probably trust in their guide to the death lol. Guys... these people are cave diving experts not sociology, child psychology and communication experts. It seems like a deficiency on their imagination to educate and communicate.

Its one thing to be safe but its another thing to project a perceived lack of intelligence maybe due to language or cultural barrier.

Like how would they act if there was a bunch of british boy scouts that got stuck. Would they determine they are capable?

You see what im getting at? British "intelligence" has always had a hyper-neurotic autistic swag about it. Like we will be better than everyone by overthinking them kinda dorky mentality. They communicate with each other in a very particular way and cadence of thought and consider it a source of their pride, so to them other forms of communication are "inferior" in situations of life and death.

The only thing to worry about is a kids oxygen mask becoming unsecured. That's it. duct tape the mask on if you have to just make sure they can breathe and leave room for breaks, fear or errors.

In reality all they need to do is get the water level down in the area where they would need to crawl through. The area that is 16 ft deep is pretty easy to get them through.

There’s a new update that kinda shows the schematic of the caves in CGI rendering and the approximate size of the hole.

Someone needs to send me a legit blueprint of the whole area and we can crowdsource the potential solutions. They can laser scan all the cave areas and underwater too and create a model and release it to the public for brainstorming and pure communal CPU power.

It would be cool if they connected the internet line in there along with the oxygen they are pumping in and then they should stream the cave area on twitch it would be cool to ask them questions in twitch chat with a translator and donations and stuff

These kids are 2-3 years away from kicking down raw bamboo trees with their shins or whatever it is they do out there. Of course they’ll be able to do this.

They initially went there for a rite of passage but it went from easy right of passage to like legit old school rite of passage to where they have survive for their life

Yeah, there's a joke in there somewhere about how a bunch of Thai kids stuck in a cave got to first base, which is further than the average miscer not stuck in a cave...

They can't see (muddy water). They can't swim. It's a 5-6 hour trip out. Kids could panic if they lose hold of the rope. Etc.

This is not a slam dunk rescue. The best case scenario is pumping the path dry or waiting for the rainy season to end. Anything other than that carries some risk.

It’s not extremely complicated to dive. It is complicated to stay calm under those conditions. Unless you’ve been in them you have no idea how you would react. The only thing I could recommend is a full face mask for the kids. And a diver carrying a tank behind them. And lots of spare tanks, lights, masks, regulators stashed throughout. And maybe some ***** or something to keep them calm. These dudes won’t be the same when they get out of this.

When those workers were stuck in a mine a few years back, they drilled a hole big enough to send a small make shift elevator to extract them . It’s an option I guess

Looking at the pic, there’s a location where you can’t get threw with tanks . That’s going to really throw a wrench into things .

I guess pumping out the area isn’t a viable option either ?

i will throw in one more thing.
we were snuba diving (lol) in hawaii, and i saw a kid flip out and drain a 1 hr tank in about 15 mins. they let him finish because he was 20 ft underwater and had a crew with us for safety, and it was calm waters, etc. but i can definitely see the kids panicking and draining the largest tanks, even if feasible. hell, most of us htc alphas on here would flip the fuk out in that situation.

Yeah but those were spoiled 1st world kids on vacation, they would actually be more likely to panic and be soft and like a woman worried of leaving their comfort zone but these kids probably already came to term with death weeks ago. Kids in third world countries grow up more in tune with their primal limits.

They were reported to be playing around and laughing even in the cave so they are probably not the type to panic like a spoiled high school girl.

They are simple folk driven by survival and are too shy to freak out and will probably just go along like a lamb hoping to be guided home.

The whole organization is retarded if they cant teach them to do what they need to in a week.

Its not like young Asian boys don't have a high natural perception for IQ learning at a young age...

Misc can someone answer this?

How did they manage to get into the area they are now, if the entrance is this tiny little hole only big enough for one person? Did they go through that to get where they are? Or was there another entrance?
