wow.
this is not going to end well if professional diver died.
5 hours of diving in pitch black, muddy water, strong currents.
equipment malfunction, panic or anything and they die.
.................
I am shocked that there is no pumps in this day and age that can't pump out all that water out. As that seal points out on video.
If they asked for world help and got 100+ pumps working 24/7 they could have removed most of the water by now.
With oxygen levels falling I think this will end so badly.

His only mistake was going in so close to the rain season. They just had some terrible luck and timing.

The cave is a normal tourist attraction that can be entered without a guide.
It has a warning sign that warns from entering from JULY onwards and they entered the cave on JUNE 23rd.
they drove with their bikes for almost 1km in and eventually turned back only to see the way out was flooded and they would have to dive which was impossible.
So let me summarize:
The kids were on their way home and asked their coach to venture into the cave, the coach read the sign and as it wasn't JULY they went in for a quick look and flood happened.
Ignorance is bliss

The mountain is a remote area with very difficult terrain, lots of fissures and no roads, so they would have to build roads for the heavy machines to drill hundreds of meters deep holes. The whole ground is not very stable so there is a risk that the ceiling of the cave collapses. All in all it takes over 2 months to dig through according to a US Military who is helping with the escape.
The oxygen issue might be solved soon, they're putting up a tube that brings fresh oxygen into the cave, it's not finished yet and there is no estimated time available.
The biggest threat is a heavy rain that is forecasted on saturday/sunday which could flood the place where the boys are hiding right now and there is nowhere else to go, they can't venture deeper as the area there is already flooded. If water keeps rising they're gonna dive (that's why all the oxygen tanks are stored across the cave)

When a sign says "Do Not Enter July-___" A normal person would assume that a week BEFORE July could also be dangerous as weather is not predictable. A little bit of common sense. The decision to go in the cave was a fatal mistake. Sad situation all around.

It was a horrible mistake but blaming the coach (25yo) isn't the smartest thing to do.

But again it wasn't July so people calling to "kill him", "hang him" or "eat him" are just being completely dense.
Is it going to help with the whole situation blaming the coach?
Hint: It's not
