I just had an interesting idea. Create oxygen foam. in every cave the city can spray certain areas with oxygen foam so if cavers get trapped they can find the foam and light it. it will slowly release oaxygen in the area. It would be a good preventative measure.

Ok so first of all: logic check... just because an old retired local Thai man who volunteered died(makes the whole thing more sad)doing install and setup work alone doesnt equate to being harder than before for the kids. its one thing doing setups with tools and equipment and having an endurance failure, its another to do the transport.

we definitely need Elon Musk up in this. the crawl tunnel is actually a potentially safe idea. kinda like this but 2 miles long and water proof



So where are you guys getting reports it would take 6 hours? I heard the first time the divers looked for them it took them 6 hours to get there the first time.

and then I read now with the path figured out its 2 hours for a direct trip. also reports that the main diving for the kids would only be 2-3 hours. maybe not total trip but the hard parts.

I really really appreciate your optimism throughout this thread. That being said, this is gonna end very badly. Reports now that they are going to try to rush the kids out before more flooding... Imagine if it floods earlier than they hoped? Or if the entire rescue team gets trapped. Geez this is ridiculous.

1) the tube would also have to be puncture proof otherwise gg
2) what is going to prevent the tube from collapsing?
3) the total trip is 5 hours for the most experienced divers. tanks last around 1 hour, so you would have to get these kids to be expert level to switch as needed...

even if the trip took an hour its still a gongshow because they can't swim and will 100% panic when they can't see where they're going? Also fatigued

like I said I read it was 2-3 hours (and please take the “experienced divers” dick out your mouth stop bringing up experience and dive hours lol) maybe its 5 hours from when they start putting their gear on at the start... there are conflicting reports and segments from different days and sources.

if it took them 5-6 hours the very first time surely its faster after they got it figured out

maybe some ppl are reporting that initial time quoted and its changed since then but the 5 hour thing stuck

they would have to basically fabricate a puncture and water proof "tube" extend it to the kids, have them crawl inside, seal it from their end, pump air to inflate the tube and pray that the generator doesn't fail or the tube doesn't fail, otherwise they going out like

What they really need is a series of siphons pulling from one cavern to the next ultimately draining to outside. Then they can send in bats fo sonar the entire cave and shoot lasers to open the passages. Alternatively they could just use dolphins for the sonar.
