It's 2018 and I can have a prostate exam with a blood test and yet, we're still breaking jaws to fix overbites.

Never heard of it before. Looked it up. Basically the total opposite of what I have (no chin). I’ve thought about doing something about it but it hasn’t seemed to bother my standard of living too much.
Good luck op. After time I’m sure this will be well worth it.

I feel like all the recovery vlog videos undersold how miserable the recovery is. I watched tons before mine, and I don't remember a single one talking about constant nausea from swallowing blood, and lack of sleep. They made it seem like the worst thing about it was getting tired of the liquid diet.
Maybe I had the nausea issues because I didn't take any hardcore pain medications, only ibroprophane. Didn't want to risk getting addicted to them and I didn't need them for actual pain cause all my jaw nerves were dead during recovery so there was no pain. And that reminds me, another thing I really phucking hated was drinking the medicines. Holy phuck I got so sick of the taste of liquid antibiotics and ibro, and forcing yourself to drink them down while you had nasuea from the swallowed blood made it suck even more.
Permanent side effects:
So far, it seems like the only noticeable permanent side effect is that the right side of my tongue is numb. Srs, I have no feeling there and can't taste anything. It really bummed me out when all the other feeling came back in my face but I realized that this was probably gonna stay. But now, I'm use to it to where I don't even notice that it's numb and it doesn't bother me. Unlike most other people, I don't have any dead numb spots on my chin or lips.

I’m on my phone so can’t quote you properly. I have the x-rays at the doctor’s office, he made me an archive, will have them at the end.
As you know, Monday I lost my flight so I booked one today, after a long trip I am in the airport drinking coke 0, my surgeon asked me to go to his office directly from here. I’ll give you updates.
No, my asymetry is not even visible, I’m doing this willingly because it is for mental health to know that I have a pretty smile all my life. I don’t have an ugly jaw or anything, it’s actually sharp and I want it still sharp, told the dr. He agrees, looks very aesthetic for me, ( thanks dad chad I guess)
Wish me luck, I’m a bit scared
LE: I do this for the teeth, to have more space and stay straight even without braces, nothing wrong with the way my jaw looks, but with the fact that it should be few mm wider. The asymetry is not visible, etc

Not gonna hope u have a good surgery. I hope they call it off, and you learn to accept yourself because there is nothing mentally healthy about undergoing a life threatening procedure just to "look better". (Yes, ANY surgery is potentially life threatening. You are exposing your body to pathogens, and there is ALWAYS the risk of infection and potentially death.)

Any modifications appear unnatural, and horrible as a result. I have yet to see a case of cosmetic surgery done correctly. Every single time I see these hollywood celebs or fitness models, their bodies are completely out of proportion and their faces appear unnatural. It's disgusting. The only women with very large tits are also gonna have large thighs, asses, a big frame, and a lot of fat. Period. That's how fat works. There is the natural voluptuous body, and then there is this artificial fat grafting monstrosity that has become popular today with models and celebs. It's pathetic.
Would rather plow this:

than some fake chit.

......You females are so pathetic. You try to act confident, etc. But you won't go out into public without literally wearing a painted on mask. And you legit think you need a bunch of fuking surgeries to "be beautiful". Beautiful people are born, not made. Anyone who outgrows the phase where they are easily manipulated by Hollywood and the music industry learns what beauty actually looks like, and how virtually everything you see in Hollywood is unnatural and disgusting. They are mostly drug addicts, plastic surgery addicts, and generally degenerate, unhealthy people. You can try to be like them or you can make your own way in life.

I have seen your face, and it looks very normal. Don't think you need this surgery to make your smile better, and if you can chew, eat, breathe, etc fine then I see no reason why you should do this. It could get infected, and they might need to remove part of your jaw or some chit. What would you do then? Stop and think.
