Starting at over 60k. Less than 400 HP. No traditional Manual.
Toyota has completely forgotten how to make a sports car.

Too bad because for 50 k and hp close to the current American sports cars with a 6 speed with a really nice interior, and backed by dat dere Toyota Reliability I would have scooped one up.

Specs, we'll have to wait for, however. In its March 2018 issue, Japan's Best Car magazine reported that the Supra would have a 3.0-liter turbo inline-six with 335 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque with an additional 37 lb-ft on overboost. Those figures match BMW's 40i engine, as used in the M240i and other cars in its lineup.
If true... kinda makes me sad. You can get that kinda power with a full TBE/running e85 and tune on an EVO/STi.

I nearly get that much power from my Acura TL lol

Kind of a bullchit statement from R&T too since M Performance brings the B58 (40i Engine) to around 400/400 and BMW underrates their engines. I feel bad for anyone expecting anything close to the same power as a base B58 or MB58.

just lmao that toyota thinks it's acceptable to release a performance car with those numbers in 2019. other manufacturers are putting out better numbers on turbo'd 4 bangers.

plus, it looks like a god damn insect. the Nissan GT-R wasn't a looker when it was released, but i could digest the design. this thing is horrendous on all levels. even the light weight won't save you from being embarrassed by $40k cars. and i think this car will retail for $80k. why not just get an m4 at that point?

The Japanese auto industry is more focused on putting out economy sports cars.

It's kind of sad too because Lexus has been putting out some gorgeous "sport" cars lately (RC-F). Unfortunately, they couldn't beat a Prius on a track or drag race.

Is this real life? 80k for an automatic Toyota that puts out 4cyl turbo #s. They should of just came up with a new model instead of ruining the Supra name with this pathetic attempt. So you are paying German car prices for a Toyota with lesser performance. Seems legit

Not a chance in hell that will happen unless the completely tear it down and rebuild. This gen that was posted will never compete.

Lol at people complaining that it's automatic-only.

It's 2018. Manuals are dying. Deal with it.

Automatics are way faster anyway. There's a reason why most modern sports cars don't even offer a manual option anymore. Nobody buys them.

Would rather get a juicy m4 instead

I can only speak for myself but most of today's fast cars are way beyond my skillset to drive them at the edge of their capabilities anyway. I'll take a manual because it's more fun and don't care if they are few tenths of a second faster or not.

I don't see it as complaining, rather just stating a fact -- I personally would not buy a sports car without a manual and I assume there are plenty of others like that.

Trucks, SUV's or luxury cars? Automatic all the way.
