Israelis are mostly Mizrahi or Sephardic. They come from countries like Morocco, Tunisia, Iran, Yemen etc.

American Jews are overwhelming Ashkenazi and come from countries like Poland, Germany, Russia etc.

I think Israelis are about 50/50 European/Middle Eastern (i.e., Ashkenazi + Sephardi account for approximately half of the Israeli population, and Mizrahi account for the other half).

FWIW, Gal Gadot is Ashkenazi. Her parents have Eastern European roots. I.e., everything people here are saying about Ashkenazi looking worse than Mizrahi is silly and not a good explanation for Gal Gadot.

Ashkenazi don't look worse by any means. They're even more attractive in many cases.

A lot of orthodox Jewish people in the United States are Ashkenazi jews with excessive intermixing of genes. These might be the ones you would find less attractive.
