Any brahs following that missing girl case?

College girl went for a run and disappeared, most are thinking she was abducted. Left all her stuff, grew up in area, never went to work.. 6 days now

Sadly this is very true, in the US at least. Black and brown kids go missing everyday and not a peep about them in the media usually, if theyre lucky theyll get a 15 sec clip with a hotline number. Suburban white girl though? 15 minute special report slot with last known location, witness statements, family interviews etc. When I lived in St louis the difference was pretty shocking when you watched the news smh

Edit: Not trying to make it a race thread btw, really hope that they find her safe soon. Sad story mane :/

Could be that non-hispanic white people make up 66 percent of the population of the US. News outlets want to sell papers, get views/clicks. People will generally be more inclined to take notice of a story where the victim/missing person looks like them.
