So I had the date with cop last night. Lots of chemistry and his body language reminded me of my ex. Very goofy and awkward, but in a cute way. He wants to stay here, yet I want to leave. He's been working out a bit, but still has a beer belly. We align politically a bit. It was kinda awkward at the end. I was waiting for him to kiss me, but I kiss him for like 2 seconds. I also felt guilty in a weird way. I know I'm not completely over my ex, but I'm trying to move on. I told him that I wanted to see him again. 9/10 date.

You were waiting for him to kiss on the first date? You mean a peck on the lips right?

I haven't followed your dating experiences but I think you should stop comparing guys to your ex. Easier said than done i'm sure.

Did you mean you were waiting for him to kiss you, but he never did, so you kissed him?

I don't mind dating liberals, but I got under my ex's skin over guns, taxes, and immigration which he took very personal. His friend and I got into it over political bs. It's saving the headache down the road. To be honest he hates Trump, but likes guns. I can handle that. Politics is personal these days man.

I believe the man makes the 1st move Lucy, I've told you this before... Yes a peck on the lips. He was more nervous than me.

If you are still not over an ex that dumped you, you arenโ€™t going to get real far in the dating game.

I wasn't implying anything. I was more curious about kissing on the first date, because some women have said it surprised them because they didn't expect it on a first date. Sounds like you do.

I expect a kiss on the 1st date if it's going well and there is clear chemistry. He agreed to go on a 2nd date, plus he walked me to my car.

Not all women are the same, apparently the misc is not understanding that.

Well, you can start by not writing how similar/dissimilar they are while recapping dates. For goodness sakes, you mentioned your ex before you told us about your date. Stop that!

No I understand that, no need to be rude. Maybe women should try understanding that not all women are the same, because the way she said it to me was as if I should know.

Same as the recent date where the LA-infected woman felt like I should know that setting up the date at 7pm was too early for drinks, and 8.30pm+ was typical for drinks, and not dinner. LOL.

Regardless I wasn't apologetic in either circumstance, and pretty much rolled my eyes.

You just got your timing wrong bro. It's better to not kiss than have it forced. They give you signals if they want it. I also like to hug to greet bye, back up my head with arms wrapped and if she stays there and doesn't move, she wants it so lean in and smooch.

Oh I'm sorry if that came off as rude and I'm sorry.
That girl sounds like a b*sh anyway. No one can read anyone's mind. That's why it's best to be straight forward at the beginning.

So I told my friends about the date to get a male and female perspective in the group chat. I think they were pissed/half joking that I went on date with a cop. They said nothing positive about it. They said things like , "did they run your plates? I bet he shoots people all the time!" I really wish I would've said "well do you know any single guys that are single and responsible if so let me cause you're not helping." I get the stigma that cops deal with, but I wish they could be a little more supportive. I still want to go on a 2nd date with him.

Possibly ye. She did say in her mind it was social convention not to kiss on first date, but she was happy I kissed her. lol

I remember at that point I was generally paranoid at being friend-zoned (too much misc and redpill), and wanted to signal away from that. That was dumb paranoia though, considering it was a date and we were flirting.

LMAO at 8:30 for drinks, especially a work night. I usually go for 7ish for an evening/drinks and a day coffee meet pretty much anytime.

Oh and the cop probably will do a background check on you. I went on a date with a female cop and she admitted to that stuff.

A goofy, awkward cop?

I always imagined cops as these stoic, super serious people who were the opposite of awkward.

IDK if he was super nervous or he really is like that. He's small bit of stoic though.

I know a cop and he said he never mixes work with play, such as running checks on women. I'm sure there are those who do, though.

Not really. I've met a lot of guys in my lifetime, IRL and online. I don't think it's necessary to run background checks on every guy I meet. lol Plus back in my 20's there was no social media to creep on someone to try to get info on them. Never had any issues with creepers.

But if you had the ability to easily check a guys background? As if you wouldnโ€™t take it

Is it really that easy for a cop to do it though? I thought I'd read before that when they use the database or whatever it is, it tracks it.
