College employee suspended after calling cops on student who was eating lunch

https://www.yahoo.com/gma/college-em...es.html?bcmt=1

Is calling cops on black people minding their own business the new Tide Pod eating challenge?

“I did nothing wrong, I wasn't making any noise or bothering anyone. All I did was be black," Kanoute wrote on ********. "It's outrageous that some people question my being at Smith College, and my existence overall as a women of color."

"No students of color should have to explain why they belong at prestigious white institutions," Kanoute wrote.

Sounds like your typical perpetual victim who bases everything on skin color. I’d be interested to hear the other side of the story.

How many times has this happened to a white student at said college?

There is video, what other side does there need to be? Did the cop say there were complaints about her acting crazy, or disturbing the peace?

Here
The Smith College employee who called police on a black studentwho she believed looked "out of place"has been placed on leave amid an ongoing investigation into the incident, according to a statement from the school.
Now what kind of typical person does that sound like?

Don’t know what she was doing, like I said, the story was light on facts & only reported her side of the story.

This is probably going to turn out the same way all these “hate crimes” turn out.

These people are so desperate to be victims they create false stories all the time.

Bro come on if all the facts are to be believed, she was sitting eating lunch. Employee called the cops because she looked out of place. I mean what else could it be LOL. She's an RA and teacher assistant. I highly doubt she was acting loud and obnoxious.

What about the video, where the cop apologizes? It's clear she was doing nothing wrong.

This didn't need to be blown out of proportion the way it seems it is.

Employee got suspended, move on.

But you two anons need to realize this does happen more than you think, and some people may not be as strong as you two think you are.

As is of course the caller is wrong, I just wonder if there are any more details.

I know people can be stupid but I have a hard time wrapping my head around these levels of stupidity.

Smith college is a womens college. The 911 transcript addresses the 'suspicious person' as a "he" and laying down.. not eating lunch as the title suggests. Did you read the article? So this caller thinks in the dorm of a womens college in the summer months when no one is around, a man is sleeping.

So I just read the transcript from the 911 call:

"I was just walking through here in the front foyer of [REDACTED] and we have a person sitting there laying down in the living room area over here," the caller tells the dispatcher. "I didn’t approach her or anything but um he seems to be out of place. … Umm … I don’t see anybody in the building at this point and uh I don’t know what he’s doing in there just laying on the couch."

Doesn’t sound race motivated to me. Caller thought it was a man loitering in a private women’s college.

You can't be this retarded right? Why didn't the man approach the person and ask what she was doing? Why didn't he get closer so he could see its a woman... Why was his first reaction to call the cops, even though the person as he himself said was laying down on the couch and the only seemingly off thing about her is that "seems to be out of place" Is it common sense to call the police in a situation like this? Is it logical? No? What tends to override logic? Fear. Why was he scared? Because it was a black person...

Sad how hard they’d go to justify what the caller did, instead of admitting she mishandled this just because the other person is black. This is why these things happen in the first place

This is at Smith college. Smith college!!! lmao do you know the type of women that go here? Feminist studies everywhere. She likely just came from a lecture about how evil and violent men are and can't be trusted. I love when intersectionality collides. just lmao.

What does that have to do with the topic at hand? Nothing. Oh okay. Another person with the logical reasoning skills of a child. Go back to kindergarten you need to learn how to think.

Not just that, they're going in on the "snowflake victim" when the caller was even softer for not just talking to the person and calling the cops basically on sight.

It doesn’t look like a woman no matter how close you get. Also if you want to play the race game, maybe the caller was hyper aware of black violent crime statistics & thought it safest not to approach.

Are you fearful of every black person you meet? Would you call the cops in this situation?

Statistically she’s more likely to be victimized by a white male btw, wonder how many of them she’s called the cops on right away
