It's mutually beneficial and we are very different, but we're literally made to enhance one another's best qualities.I agree with you on this, seems like both sexes are reacting to each other and a lack of values means changing their character to fit the expectations of the other sex.
unfortunately the expectations are fluid and always changing in culture and society.
In what ways have you been taken advantage of? Have you drawn a line in the sand now for what you expect from a suitable partner?

It's not unfortunate. I believe it's growing pains. Women should be equal. But that doesn't mean one is better, smarter, etc. Than the other. We shouldn't be taking advantage of each other. Equal means mutual respect.
It's extremely hard to find a good romantic partner on either end. People are selfish. They're immature too. They want to have their cake and eat it too. You can't. But this culture says you can.
My experience is that people want all the perks and joy of a good relationship, with none of the responsibility. Men will date me, enjoy the relationship, enjoy me, yet want to still be single. It's like wanting to get paid without having to work for the paycheck.
I've had guys love being my bf, want me to stay their gf, and literally propose some BS like, I should allow them sex on the side, or a threesome, or some other craziness. And they actually think they can have a good relationship AND all these other perks. It's crazy. It would never work. People don't get what makes a relationship good I guess.
And yes, I'm constantly learning and adjusting. People don't think twice to lie, cheat, manipulate to get what they want. I had to learn the hard way. Some are very good at it. I'm still learning.

Public schools were not better, especially since there was that whole segregation thing.
Food is better now, more abundant, you don't need to buy sugar-laden shyt, healthy food is easier to come by now than then.
Appliances are less well constructed, yes, but they're also significantly cheaper, in the 50s a fridge was 3 months salary, today it's a week's worth.
Cars were simpler, they were also much less safe, BRB getting impaled by the steering column when crashing at 20 miles per hour.
People are screwed on the entry level, but that's life, what you do is get some education, and better yourself. I've more than tripled my salary in the last 3 years.
I'll admit, I can be an ass hole, but it's the way you say things, had you written your OP differently, I would have replied differently.

education thing - My dad was born in 45. His education was better. I think he use to say that literally in some fun comparison (been awhile). Heck even the education I got was better than what kids are being taught. Ask very basic history questions with the youth. They are clueless.
The economy WAS better. The amount you could buy for your dollar was more powerful.
Food back then, from a diner, or from a grocery store, was probably drawn from local farmers that didn't use the kind of crap we have today. I recall my dad's stories about going travelling to university and getting a kind of food (apple pie) that was cheap, and amazing. Now, if you go anywhere, good luck finding those kind of small businesses. And if you do find it, good luck finding food that isn't from packaged cheap quality stuff.
Fridge - i dont know about you, but I like the idea of buying one thing and it last - past my death. I dont like having to replace crap. I'd be happy to pay more if it meant the longevity was that ridiculous.
Would you buy a cheap car if it meant: you could repair any malfunction and it was 10x cheaper? Safety is a funny thing too. Those cars had heavy steel bodies - there's some safety to that. You run into something you could actually repair it too vs the plastic/fiberglass/aluminum foil like bodies of today.
entry level salary - yes what humanist you are. pff that's life - go to college. What happens when we turn into germany and everyone is a freakin engineer? oh yea, let in the immigrants. screw joe blow. An economy isn't fueled by just an elite, but by a middle class. You dont have a middle class, you are going to suffer to. So you should care for at least that indirect reason.
I think you jumped into this like a cowboy, lookin for a nazi patriarchy. Sometimes its better to start off with just questions man.

I manage most of our household bills and I prepare all of our tax returns. I also maintain our filing system (most of the time - I hate filing and fall a bit short then I have to catch up on a rainy Saturday afternoon).
I think looking after the home and the family is good and important work. It comes very naturally to me, and I don't feel oppressed. Especially cooking - it's a way to nurture the people I love. I would have loved to have been a full-time wife and mother, run the household with military precision, have a place for everything and everything in its place, to can my own fruits and vegetables, to be more active in the community. When I "retire" I will work part-time so that I can do this.
And I don't think I am alone or rare - there are countless food and beauty and lifestyle bloggers out there with millions of followers. I really want to blog, but I'm too chicken.
Listening is an important part of our relationship. "How was your day?" usually solicits a good conversation rather than a one-word answer. We talk about our goals and we support and encourage each other. I have a really awesome guy and I don't for a minute take him for granted.

LMAO at this wannabe June Cleaver bull****. The real 1950s were a little different. Looking at my two grandmothers and what they were doing as "1950s housewives", we've got a
-Customer service rep who out-earned her traveling salesman husband (and he ****ing HATED her for it, but he needed the money).
-Accountant propping up an alcoholic construction worker and basically taking care of the family for him. On the occasions where she wouldn't be home in the evenings, her husband's childcare strategy was taking any pre-teen kids in the family with him the bar and locking them in the truck while he went inside and drank (100% srs).
Life was never as ideal as miscers want to believe it is. And then taking an image that they created solely based off of vintage ads and TV shows, then using it to go all MGTOW and beat on modern society with their imaginary bat, ****ing lol at that.

Please know, that the old testament was written for a people to keep thing peculiar so to make them stand out from the terribly... bad.... awful local in the area. Superstitions were almost contagion and god was playing hazmat with these thoughts. Sexual liberty was limited particulary. when analyzed why this is probably so important for the time, its because it was THE thing and it led dudes operating at base creature like habits. SO like the misc but worse. It was a volatile time. Very nuanced that unbelievers oversimplify.
In christianity, homosexuality unlike islam, isn't penalized with death or whatever terrible act, but rather is simply regarded as sin. Christianity further regards these people, aka sinners, with grace and respect even though they are different - even though the bible doesn't approve.
There may be weird cult like doctrines out there for christianity, but amusingly you can always references the bible in a comparative way, and see where these sects fundamentally split from actual Christianity.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

People are taller, smarter, living longer, this is thanks to better more nutritious food, plus I find cheap mom and pop places all the time. I live 15 min from 2 Walmarts, but I also live 15 min from multiple butchers.

That doesn't mean much, I like things to be convenient, a heavy ass, loud, small, fridge is not superior to a French Door fridge that's twice the size and has built in ice maker and a water fountain.

College and education are not synonymous, education might be a trade training program, shadowing a plumber. I just paid $600 to have some guy come and clean my dryer and bathroom exhaust vents, I'm sure that guy did not go to college, I am also sure he's not complaining about grossing $600 for 90 min worth of work. He has a marketable skill.

I just paid $600 to have some guy come and clean my dryer and bathroom exhaust vents, I'm sure that guy did not go to college, I am also sure he's not complaining about grossing $600 for 90 min worth of work. He has a marketable skill.
I think you jumped into this like a cowboy, lookin for a nazi patriarchy. Sometimes its better to start off with just questions man.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Why not compare how much damage Christianity has done through time versus how much damage Islam has done through time. Or is today what matters, does yesterday not matter?

The 50s were the golden age, minus the constant fear of dying in a nuclear blast

What was the curse for Adam sinning in the garden? He must toil the soil (ie work his life away)
What was Eves curse for being deceived in the garden? Pain from child birth AND her desire will be for her husband and he will rule over her.
...another words a wife will want to rule over her husband but he will have authority. The natural order is for him to lead and her to follow, yet she will resist.
Women of every generation have spited their husband because of the curse that their husbands would rule over them. Doesnโt matter if it was AD 200...AD 1950...AD 2018. If you think 1950s women were any different than women in 2018- I got some bad news for you.
Women have and will always resist and subsequently there has and never will be a peaceful time in marriage. Marriage is war...Marriage, at its baseist level, is founded on resistance.
In years past women have been forced to comply but it was with gritted teeth and defiance....Feminism was a seed planted in the garden of Eden that has fertile ground to grow today. Feminism and or defiance to the curse is rooted in every females DNA.
Why do people think the #1 sexual fantasy for women is to be dominated/controlled? LOL- Their curse.
