I must say this thread is quite an eye opener...not picking one side or the other, this is the first time I hear that you're not supposed to wash jeans frequently.

I've been washing them after 3-4 days even though I work in office and don't really sweat in the jeans. No wonder they never fit like new
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit softly.

I just smell the crotch/ass area. If it's downright pungent I'll wipe a fabric softner on it. If it's just sorta smelly I'm good to go. Women love that musky smell. Otherwise it's not good to wash denim if at all possible.

It IS normal. I don't care what tommy hill****ger said, even if you don't sweat, you wear pants outside, they get in contact with dirty surfaces.

Dust, chit, bacteria, who knows what else all gets settled on the fabric as you walk around, lean, sit, etc. You really going to put that back in your closet?

Plus jeans fit better after a wash.

THIS! As for "oh gross they get dirty!" Look, I'm a man, not a boy, so my chit doesn't get dirty from playing in the fukkin sandbox... I will spot clean if needed, or cold water rinse at most.

The shower thing I'm at 2 pretty much most days, sometimes more. Some here don't even shower daily but most probably 1 a day. In my lifetime i've noticed it's mostly women skipping showers to preserve their hair or something. Gross as fukk

This.

I think Silencespeaks is OCD about cleanliness, she strikes me as a bit weird and generally foreveralone from most of her posts.

this whole thing about not having to wash jeans is kinda new to me and i still don't fully get the logic behind it, but i've turned into a pretty filthy mofo in general as of late and often cycle through a bunch of shirts that haven't been washed in days just so i get to wear different chit everyday, srs

got other chit to worry about these days

edit:
for jeans non-washers, do you also wear them like 5 days in a row or wut??

Maybe like once a week normally. But right now, more often since they fit better after a wash. All of my jeans are a size too big. But I'm not buying more right now because I'm still losing weight and will probably end up two sizes smaller by the time I'm done.

One time a week for me, because its easier to just wash them with everything else... explaining why there is a pair of jeans in the freezer to my roommates would be a little weird. I'm not exactly paying top dollar for the jeans so if I get a couple years out of a pair I think i'm alright.
