What has caused the astonishing rise in autism rates?

serious discussion

how and why is this not the most pressing medical issue today?
the rates have gone from somewhere around 1/10k to 1/59

there is much speculation but nothing conclusive.
some say it's simply being diagnosed more, some say environmental toxins etc..

thoughts?

I read somewhere they proved the correlation between autism and vaccination. The rates are high due to this, not exactly how true this is.

hang in there and don't stress. I don't think they are diagnosed that quickly.
usually it's after a couple years.

in my opinion the following things will help:

breastfeeding will go a long way to ensuring your child is healthy. also make sure your wife eats healthy to keep the breast milk as healthy as possible.

declining hep b vaccine certainly wouldn't hurt either along with giving oral vitamin k, instead of the injection.

also delay cord clamping for 5 minutes or until it stops pulsing on its own. if saving cord blood then do 2 minutes.

You can start by reading up on early signs and if they present, get them in a program immediately.

How would that disproportionately affect boys though? Not going to pull a number out of my ass but males are diagnosed at significantly higher rates. I'm definitely wondering why tf that is.

Just read the definition of it here:https://www.autism.org.uk/about/what-is/asd.aspx

It seems like its so vague that anybody can be daignosed with it based on the above thing. Probably a lot of false diagnosis/ people who are just awkward who fall under the 'spectrum'

edit:

Probably another reason is because people are turning into social recluses with the increased engagement with technology so they can't develop social skills properly. It's nearly impossible to make good friendships when you're older too because everybody has their face stuffed in their phone. That also would prove difficult to work on your personality/social skills when there isn't anybody to talk to because they're preoccupied.

Probably more diagnosed now and the whole being on spectrum thing, and also exacerbated with technology/social media later in life

This study shows no difference in rates of occurrence between children who received MMR (the one vaccine a doctor falsified a whole entire study to try to convince the public is the culprit for autism) vs not.

Vaccines causing autism is probably the one thing that has been ruled out.
