Reading through this thread, its very easy to spot those in successful relationships and those that have the capacity for successful relationships
Its also easy to see why the failure rate of relationships is so high

So I know sometimes your views and feelings change about things. I just can’t be with someone who thinks that I have to stay at home. I think as far as household roles go, there should be a discussion with equal decision making on both sides. The thing is, your gut might tell you otherwise when you're in that situation. That's when people really get miserable, when they stick to a plan that isn't what you're into or what you expect it to be and don't acknowledge your instincts.
The good thing about my job is I can work from home a couple days a week if I have to. So even if what I predict will happen, actually happens, I can still afford to be home with my children more often than most other working moms.

My wife loves to cook as well, so on the weekends she makes our breakfasts and we make dinner together as a family (bbq 4 / 5 times a week, even through Canadian winters)
We each have our own responsibilities and share work whenever we can to a) do it together and b) get it done as quickly as possible so we can spend more fun times together.
Single brahs, I am jelly of you for only one reason srs - you don't find hairs all over the house. That's it.

And lol at hair, it’s even worse if you have pets. The long hair acts as the core for a huge accumulation of fur balls.
They said she's gone too far this time

I Work with one girl who is happily married for over 15 years and she is still always saying how she needs to make sure dinner is ready on the table for her man before he comes through the door so he can enjoy and she can clean promptly after.
Imagine all the time saved boyos.

I don't mind cooking and cleaning if my future wife is working a high salary high hour job (Nurse, manager, etc). But just fuking lol at your wife being a part time barista, an "entrepreneur", or a perpetual student and not cooking and cleaning the house. The majority of chores nowadays is automated so she doesn't even have an excuse.
Lol at biching about doing laundry. You're not washing each article piece by piece with a washing board and soap, then hang drying it in the sun piece by piece, then taking them down piece by piece. Throw it in the washer, then the dryer, then fold.
Lol at biching about washing dishes, just load and unload the dish washing machine.
Lol at biching about sweeping and mopping the floor, with vacuums and chit like swiffer it makes it so much easier.
Lol at running to the bank and paying bills, it can all be done on the computer in less than 5 minutes.
If you come home to no dinner and a dirty house because your wife was watching netflix or on social media all day you're in a lesbian relationship cuz you BOTH BITCHES

We definitely gotta think about the social influence compared to the older days. Women are constantly influenced that they don’t need to be a “slave” and they can go out and have “fun” compared to the past lol
It’s definitely a struggle to find someone who leans more traditional.

end of the day time is still being wasted when no one is home to have meals ready and chores already done.

Not married but my gf does this for me. Sometimes I don’t get in until late, like midnight. And there will always be a hot meal and a beer waiting for me. Doesn’t matter if she’s just in the mood or not. It’s always there
Then again I don’t live with her.

Married barah here. We do a teamwork thing as we both work. Shes clean, can cook and cooks most of the time, cleans a little more than I do, and is a great mother.
Marriage is what you make it. If you marry a stay at home mom, then you should expect it. If you are a duel income family then it requires work but can be worth it .

A marriage will obviously be give and take, but there will exist a bias for my future marriage where i will be the provider and hopefully my wife will be the home maker. Quite frankly I imagine there would be more time for me to spend with my family and further cherish the time spent together if only one person needs to focus on bringing the means to household.
But hey obviously there are couples here that both participate in the rat race on a full time level, and more power to them, but I personally would rather have someone devote their time helping me, so i can help them.

I've met almost no women in the last ~15 years who could cook anything at all.
A million miles away - I don't.. feel.... anything.
