Bit bummed out by this BAME thing, hope that they will atleast make her hair white... I'm not very thrilled by the story telling in Netflix Marvels either, so bland in a way.

Wider appeal to western audiences by using western mediums. Witcher 3 got them a tonne of money after being relatively obscure for so long, and they want more of it. Poles are very susceptible to the dollar/pound and will literally move countries to get it. The only ones still here are the ones who don't have the competency or finances to move, or they're extremely proud of their country and are aware of how much safer it is for their children.

I think you guys are hung up too much on Cavill's looks. He doesn't 100% look like the Witcher in the games, but it's a different adaption.

Harrison Ford was too good looking and not chubby enough for Blade Runner
Harry Potter and Hermione were a lot prettier than in the books
Aragorn was much taller in the books with sharper features and likely no beard
Jack Reacher is 6'6 250lbs and blond in the books
The original Bond was based on some scrawny singer
Constantine looks like Sting in the comics not Keanu Reeves


I think Cavill is more than close enough to the needed look.

Maybe. I mean, I have olive skin despite being pale*, and I'm somewhat ethnically ambiguous. Someone like that might slip by their casting prejudice.



Plus, those of us with olive skin are basically elves, so that fits with Ciri.
