Celebrity/Famous Deaths you felt...

The death of Mack Miller has really had me in my feelz since saturday brahs.

I know miscers rarely give sympathy for deaths of his circumstance or celebrities in general, but hoping some can relate to this one.

Guy was incredibly talented, extremely popular amongst his peers and really did just seem like just one of the boys - one of us.

His music helped me through some really dark times in my life a few years ago so i guess thats why im struggling with this one. Never thought id actually feel upset or shed a tear for someone ive never met but i guess i just feel really bad for him.

Born alone die alone i guess..

anybody had a celebrity/famous person(athletes etc.) death actually hit home pretty hard?

The guys that put out inspirational stuff, and wanted to make the world a better place, and tell people how important life is, how special they are...

Then they kill themselves

What happens, they fall into nihilism?

xxxtentancion's death kinda hit me. i was pretty big fan of his rap music (didn't really like his sad,emo chit), but mainly because he's only a bit older than me and the dude got shot because of a lv bag. granted he wasn't a good guy (idk if the allegations were true or not) but his death hurt a bit.

Yeah you could be right. Mac's example i guess well he said once he moved out to LA to further his career he became extremely lonely which lead to drug use out of boredom...sad reality of being famous. I think they become very empty and alone as you'd never know who actually wants to be your friend and whos just using you.

Absolutely no one and it's baffling to me that the death of a person one didn't even have any personal relationship with can effect anyone 100% srs.

yeh i feel you, but music is a huge passion of mine. As someone else mentioned (corny as it sounds) music can be a soundtrack to your life. Memories, moments that certain songs timewarp you back to.

Mac's death hurt because of that very reason.

I'm a child of the 90s -- Kurt Cobain hit us hard.
READ THIS: You know how your Visa gift cards usually end up with $0.63 left on them, so then you carry them around for months before you eventually just throw them away? Well, Tarck's here to tell you that most charities have a PayPal link on their website where you can quickly donate that balance (even if you don't have a PayPal account). It only takes a moment and it beats literally throwing money away. Thanks for your time; we now return to your regularly scheduled cuckold and FA threads.

None yet. I can see myself being upset when Jon Bon Jovi eventually passes(hopefully not for a long time) though.

Me thinks you're edgelording...It doesn't have to be about hero worship. It's totally natural to feel a sense of loss when someone you admired or who's art you enjoyed passes. Obviously nothing like what their actual friends and family are feeling, but at least the kind of sadness you feel whenever you receive chitty news.

No sir. Read the context of the OP- that's f*cking weird to me.

Jeff Hanneman, Lemmy, Dime to name a few were musicians I was a big fan of but beyond "that sucks", I didn't have actual feelings about their deaths. Having a personal connection to a complete stranger just doesn't make sense to me.
