What expalins the differentiation in attraction between different racial groups?

My first thought was societal racial prejudice but the fact that it doesnt carry over between females and males all but disproves this



Particularly Asian men and Black women do badly

I'll keep it vague on purpose. One has too much of a masculine trait and the other has too much of a feminine trait.

loled at nobody liking black women, even black men.

I don't know about it overall, but I think a lot of it has to do with cultural norms, and what you like in a man or woman. For black women, don't they have higher test than other women so that may turn off other men or make black women more inclined to like certain traits in men.

This is just based off my experiences. I tend to get hit on a bunch by black women and I never have any idea why.

Because black people are viewed as hyper masculine and Asian people as hyper feminine.

Not tough to see who gets the short end of that stick.

Ironically, it was black women who used to be known for having the most HTC appealing type bodies.

I can honestly say as a fit, educated black women I do very well with men of all races.

If you're a fat loudmouth with obvious fake hair and twelve tattoos, well...can't help ya.

The only thing I can think of that might potentially explain the lower average level of physical
attractiveness among black women is testosterone. Africans on average have higher levels of testosterone
than other races, and testosterone, being an androgen (male hormone), affects the physical attractiveness of
men and women differently. Men with higher levels of testosterone have more masculine features and are
therefore more physically attractive. In contrast, women with higher levels of testosterone also have more
masculine features and are therefore less physically attractive. The race differences in the level of
testosterone can therefore potentially explain why black women are less physically attractive than women
of other races, while (net of intelligence) black men are more physically attractive than men of other races.

Has it ever occurred to you that since we live in a country built around European beauty standards, black women may come up short because they deviate from that more than women of other races?

I'm not bitter, I just don't see the point of you making such an indefensible generalization. "Black women are less attractive on average"--to you, maybe and to others who share your ideal of beauty.

But that statement is egregious.

Not even going to touch the part about how you said black men are more attractive apart from their intelligence.

I'm not sure that 'prejudice' is simply a misunderstood form of 'segregation'. I'd be interested to see the statistic in the OP say, compared between NYC and (random pick but you get the idea) someplace in Idaho. And what I mean is that multiple races are far more likely to meet/bond/experience/fall for one another where more mixing happens as opposed to where more segregation happens.

So I'm not sure that the statistic in the OP is actually representative of the point the OP thinks it implies. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding.

I'm trying to base the statements im saying on facts and research. That's all that is.

The facts are the facts. Whether you seem to like them or not. If you have studies which contradict that Im happy to see them.

Sometimes I'm not sure if it's more based on culture or race. Or if they're interconnected.

In my area we have alot of eastern european immigrants. I'm Latino, I get attention from Russian blonde girls and dated one a few years ago, but barely any attention from American blonde girls. I've heard of Europeans being more diverse in their dating. I went to high school in a predominantly white suburb and had a rough time meeting girls..

White brunette girls are a totally different story. But some were like 1/4 or 1/8 latino fwiw. Full Latinas I obviously connect with most. Just my experiences.

Combine the rate of obesity among black women with pre conceived ghetto stereotypes, perceived lack of intelligence and the media constantly extolling the virtues of skinny, straight haired women and it's not difficult to figure out.

Everything about us is wrong, unless it's a feature paid for by the Kardashians like lips, ass etc and then it's hnggg.

I'm not even bitter, I accepted it long ago.

The basic reality is the country puts white features on a pedestal, as white people were the founders and are the majority. It is what it is. The closer you are to that, the higher your score. The further the lower. It is what it is.

Black men are a weird exception to the rule.

good ex is asians rating asians and white men high and darker skinned minorties lower.
Stems from their long standing culture of viewing darker skinned as lowerclass (farmers/field workers) and lighter skin as pristine.
this is much more prominent in asian countries such as china, korea and japan. Westernised unsheltered asians usually dont have as big of a bias compared to others

I would explain more and talk about other results but I do not have the time now and will revisit later

Folsom/Rocklin/Roseville ain't Los Angeles boyo. typical upper middle class suburbs with preppy kids.

I was literally one of like 5 mexicans at my high school. There were just as many blacks but it was funny because they were worshipped, since all of them were awesome at sports. Even the Indians had it easier than me because they had a bigger community to meet people.

This study is a crock of chit, and the Author had 68 evolutionary scientist dismiss his work as "Bad science". He was also dismissed from writing for Psychology today, and prohibited from submitting any non-peer reviewed work for a year, by the London School of Economics.
