Ameriglo already used Trijicon tritium in their sights so hopefully they just keep it as a budget line or something. Did they do that for other companies too or was it just ameriglo?

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that Trijicon was like the only people in the country who had the permits...or whatever the fuk is required...to handle tritium. (As far as sights anyway. I know quite a few watch companies handle tritium too.)
So basically any tritium sights regardless of manufacturer is Trijicon lamps unless someone out of the US is installing them.
I dunno, I could be wrong.

Probably true for the US. Meprolights are made in Israel. The ones on my CZ are way brighter than the Trijicons on my Glock. Trijicon has better paint though.

I believe there's a couple companies who use a Swedish based company for tritium lamps as well.

But by and far, regardless of brand, the lamps in your night sights are most likely Trijicon.

Iowa is pretty nice in that there is not a significant threat of fire, earthquake, hurricane, or high profile terror target, etc. But there's always something. There could be this that or the other even if it's rare, and manmade things can explode or spill pretty much anywhere there are people of course.

Tritium is expensive AF. Iโ€™ve heard very small quantities cost like hundreds of thousands of dollars. Quick google shows it cost 30k a gram back in 2000. So who knows how much it cost almost 20 years later.

Like what if some poor sap drops a gram on the ground or something? BRB 30k down the drain and a hazmat team needed to quarantine the place.
