Tornadoes are ****ing scary when you consider that you basically don't get a warning so much of the time. Thunderstorm comes in...will this be the one with tornadoes that ****ing ripe a hole in the earth beneath you or not? Not like a hurricane you see for days ahead (also what makes earthquakes scary)

I'm surprised we haven't touched on "mandatory" evacuations for Florence, yet.

It helps that I can confidently change the battery now also. That's the biggest issue with an "old" phone IMO.

My wife and kids, who have 7's and who got a ration of chit back in kind when I jumped ahead of them, probably will all want the new one.

I'm guessing the "automatic weapon" part is not true, but good job concealed carry man regardless.

A licensed gun owner was hailed Thursday for his role in helping police in suburban Chicago stop a suspect who was firing an automatic weapon, officials said.
Officials commended the unnamed civilian for his actions as they stood outside a hospital where Cicero police Officer Luis Duarte, 31, was undergoing surgery for four gunshot wounds suffered during the shootout, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
“We were lucky enough to have a citizen on the street there’s who’s a concealed-carry holder, and he’s also engaged in gunfire,” said Cicero police Superintendent Jerry Chlada Jr.

So, uh, does fema have bread in the parking lot of that store?
lol

What I really want to know...what's wrong with the single loaf of bread that's still there? A little extra protein in it or something? lol

There could be this that or the other even if it's rare, and manmade things can explode or spill pretty much anywhere there are people of course.

Talked to a friend who works at Blackstone last night and found out more about the guy that offed himself at the range last week. 25 year old white male, rented a Gen5 19, ran a mag through it with range ammo and did pretty good with the target. Gave no signals whatsoever anything was wrong. Then he suddenly flips the gun around with arms still extended, Looney Tunes style, and shoots himself right below the eye. He made it for about an hour before checking out.
They still have that bay closed and hired restoration experts to make sure there is no sign of blood at all in the concrete or walls. Everybody said there was never any warning or sign anything was wrong, and everyone was just happy he only took himself out.

A friend of a friend also killed himself at a range in North Charlotte a couple months ago, I think I mentioned it here. Going through an ugly divorce and couldn't handle it. He also rented a Gen5 19. Choice of professionals.
