I've driven thru Iowa a few times and remember a tornado rolled through once when I stopped for dinner. It was definitely unsettling. Growing up near Lake Superior the only real concern was extreme cold and/or blizzards and driving. Some basic supplies in the house and you're fine. If you stayed inside and waited things out it wasn't a big deal. An occasional winter w/ 300 inches of snow may have an impact on your sanity.


I'm surprised we haven't touched on "mandatory" evacuations for Florence, yet.

I feel like I'm going to keep rocking this 6 for awhile. I just can't justify $800 for a better camera. I need to use my phone less instead of more anyways.

It helps that I can confidently change the battery now also. That's the biggest issue with an "old" phone IMO.

After having a 4s forever . . . and catching unending hell for it from my wife and kids . . . I upgraded to the 8 last year and will be happy with that for awhile, I'm sure.

A common tactic of the antis, of course, is to use the term "automatic" to intentionally mislead and deceive people into thinking they are referring to a full auto aka machine gun...when it's an autoloader. Though that may be giving them too much credit of actual knowledge much of the time...

Yeah I ordered one this morning. I'm retarded and thought the preorder was tonight so got in late lol. Should have it early October. The 6 has done me well but I need more memory and I don't trust those gypsy cloud services.

Not to mention I never said anything about not raising prices at all or using no strategy to get supplies into more people's hands, which guaranteed this place didn't do.

Talked to a friend who works at Blackstone last night and found out more about the guy that offed himself at the range last week. 25 year old white male, rented a Gen5 19, ran a mag through it with range ammo and did pretty good with the target. Gave no signals whatsoever anything was wrong. Then he suddenly flips the gun around with arms still extended, Looney Tunes style, and shoots himself right below the eye. He made it for about an hour before checking out.

They still have that bay closed and hired restoration experts to make sure there is no sign of blood at all in the concrete or walls. Everybody said there was never any warning or sign anything was wrong, and everyone was just happy he only took himself out.




A friend of a friend also killed himself at a range in North Charlotte a couple months ago, I think I mentioned it here. Going through an ugly divorce and couldn't handle it. He also rented a Gen5 19. Choice of professionals.
