The /2+7 as been around forever. I didnt make it up. I don't think its 100% because theres more too relationships than just age. If for example one partner is much smarter than the other, they'll feel alone in the relationship even if they pass the age test.

well a couple other things to consider, women develop much faster than men, and also different people have different genetics for reaching full maturity. For example when I was 22 I still looked like a young teen and to this day im still not fully ready to mature all the way. I had a long ass "max evolution" maturity cycle.

While I know girls who are like 18 or so having kids and they are more mature than I am.

In a way its possible to be equally yolked even at such age differences because some people are still emotionally underdeveloped like a man child or something. Maybe when im 40 I will feel like a 30 year old.

Or I know some guys who looked like an old man and had a mustache and were super serious and everything junior year of high school.

On top of that, in the internet era, teens, expecially teen girls, mature faster than ever before in history because of all the access to all the information of the world on their phones.

So not only do people of different genders and genetics age wildly different, but there is also less time needed because of the concentrated amount of info.

This means that age differences aren't hard rules and people are only as old as they feel in their mind. and vice versa.

A woman needs only to reach the ability to give birth to be considered a mature woman ready for a family, while a man has to go out and conquer the world to reach mature manhood.

there are different development paths that people take and the age number is not always a consistent indicator of where you are in your life and how mature you are.

So that ideal gap you speak of used to be 2-4 years but now can be even more because we are all equally woke under the far reaching effects of the internet.
