only way to find yourself is from within not by traveling to random places. meditate, fast and read then build a strong sense of self. sounds stupid and i think so as well, but it works.

I don't know why you guys are talking about ISIS.

To me it seemed he was sympathetic to Assad and his gf was Iranian, so she was likely Shia, so he wouldn't have converted to Sunni Islam (ISIS Islam), but Shia.
