just heard some song about crypto..

wasn't like that niche rap either. was on a mainstream radio station

honestly forgot who sang it

wasn't a song all about crypto though, it was a little part about buying cryptos and paying for college

Ah yes, sit at the computer all day, make a few scalps here and there. Worked out well circa 2016 for the people who had the same line of thinking. Probably joined the rope neck guild with bitcoin pizza guy.

I'm not saying it works for everyone. I consider myself an overly emotional investor. That's not good for huge daily swings. But for trying to scalp 20$ I can lose an Andrew Jackson and go about my day. It would be like going to my local casino and playing one hand of blackjack then heading to the game downtown. Ha. Much more fun to gain or lose 20$ than what I went through first 6 months of the year.
I woke up this morning still breathing. Might as well take advantage of it.

If its $20 its just play money. Trying to scalp with hundreds or thousands is probably not a good idea for most people.

Mt. Gox coming in for the killshot. 160,000 BTC set to be returned to owners, that I bet are going to want to cash out at least some of their money.

oh man....
then you have poeple who would like to stay in but realize that others will cash out due to fear of a mass selloff.
if youre getting btc returned, i think it's mandatory to move in cash...unfortunately.
then buy back in after the drop

yeah this stuff is all about realizing what your traits are. this is the reason why i have decided not to go into the trading side. I'm bright enough to come up with a sound strategy, but not disciplined enough to stick to it. there is this one youtuber that annoys the crap out of me because he urges people to get into trading and how they can make so much money. but he doesnt mention the downside of not being disciplined.

Cliffs:
-20% of trades on Coinbase are done by CB themselves

I know we throw around the term manipulation as a generic term but part of me thinks this is a reason why we're seeing BTC hover in the same channel for so long. So until we have several whales enter in at once we will continue to have similar volatility with low volume. Also begs the question, if everyone took all their crypto off exchanges at once, would exchanges actually be able to fulfill the transactions?

6150 has got to hold or RIP BTC. And these bounces at support have gotten more and more pathetic. If it doesn't hold we are fukd because there is no volume nodes all the way down into the 4s. But since I'm a half glass full kind of guy, you can now buy an OMG for less than $3.

I'm all in at 6150. You have to play this support. Strongest support we've had since Dec of 2017. Setting a very loose stop at 5800 because I'll bet we're really going to start to move.

Just checked the shorts to see the carnage. Still crazy high. In fact, just had a big jump in them. Can't blame them, wish I got a short in at 6500.

I don't know what to do here. Should have sold at 6500 but it happened so quick. Technically above 6400 S/R but 6,500 has been kicking BTC's ass.

hmmm,

What's the point of whales keeping the price between 6k - 7k? Trying to make it look stable for etf approval?

Strong everything. The dump there was almost no volume, then the buy back up it skyrocketed.

Pro traders hired by banks and exchanges are swing trading/accumulating as much as possible. In short, BTC has to stay above 6k to be profitable to mine. So there is some element to the stability argument.

Only problem I have with this is the market will be stagnant all night when I'd normally be making 5-10 trades in the couple hours after work. But I did sell eth last night at 208. Thought about buying back lower but those red dillies were looking mean as fuk when I checked my phone at like 2 lol
