An even more fukked up thing happened to a friend of mine...when his daughter was almost 6 years old, he got the tests done because she just didn't seem to take after his family at all in looks or behaviours. Turns out he was not the father.

Madness ensues in his house, wife insisting she never cheated...he called her every whore related name you could think of...she was devastated. She had a full on breakdown and he told her that he hoped she would die. He was listing off all of her "suspicious behaviours" and how he should have known all along she was taking cawk. It was brutal.

She gets tested. Child is not hers either.

Turns out the hospital fukked up large and gave 2 couples the wrong babies. They are currently in major legal battles with the hospital as well as the other parents (the other parents want their biological child back, my buddy and his wife love the girl they have been raising for now 10 years). Buddy and wife are also in counselling to try and repair their relationship due to his reactions...the hospital is responsible for this as well.

It is a cluster-fukk of biblical proportions.

I’m so sorry for what the father is experiencing and more so for the children if he decides to walk away from them. I can’t imagine being told as a child your dad isn’t your dad and now the only father you’ve ever known doesn’t want you because your moms a huge fukkin lying sack of chit. Not always that simple, unfortunately. I believe in some states, if the man puts himself as the father on the birth certificate, that's it. He's responsible.

This whole story is just sickening to me. No man should have to find this out about his children.

I think a lot of you are overstating your reaction to the kid. I have a 4 year old boy (yes mine DNA test). There would be some cope but I don't think the love for the kid would change. Its like saying couples that cant have children and adopt dont "love" their child as much.

Edit: There should be civil, even possible criminal, liability for the woman. In terms of "emotional stress/damage" this is near the top of the list.

I would leave as well, but not without my daughter. I have a 3 year old and if I found out she wasn't mine I would never tell her...because she is mine. I am totally crazy about her and have never had such strong feelings in my life, whether it be joy, love, missing her...everything with her is amplified a million times over. I can't imagine that my wife could do anything that would cause my feelings towards my little girl to fade even one iota.
