Natty gains were nowhere near worth the time and effort put into it for me.

Not lifetime natty but I got to the stage where I decided just working out to be healthy was enough. Sometimes it's more about the process.

soyboys here will say everybody competing in natty bodybuilding isnt natty but when you look at the top in the WNBF and see the same names compete year after year it makes you wonder why they would risk failing testing so often for almost no gain.
gains might be slow natty but atleast if you want to be competitive you get to keep your health while still looking sick
this guy competed for over 10 years natty

this guy is the top bantamweight(under 150lbs i think) in the wnbf currently

Might as well make a thread about Bigfoot, La Chupacabra or the Loch Ness Monster.

If it’s natty it isn’t bodybuilding.
It’s working out.
In all seriousness I think you guys who are full natty but take it as serious as pro BBers (more serious most likely due to no help) need a mental health check. You sure you don’t identify as an old school strongman and the healthcare system should provide you with a time machine and a mustache and send you back 100 years to where you belong (and can get mogged by men with real test lvls)

a lot of natural competitions are in high school halls or auditoriums, even in the IFBB they dont make a lot of money unless they are the best.

Then in this 2nd part of my offseason, I was able to finally get my arms up about .25inch, but I had to actually switch off focus on powerlifting and just do the best I could to maintain squat/deadlift. I was able to maintain 25lb of the gain on the deadlift from prior part of the year.
If you look at the successful ifpa guys you'll see that they mostly have to do a 2 step forward and 1 step back type approach. Philip Ricardo Jr. gave me a bit of insight on his approach a few years ago, and it's really made the difference.
I use to be a fan of Nunez/ Ryan Doris/ Norton but now I realize that these guys don't really know how to make progress. I honestly believe Nunez has gotten worse since 2008~. They get too focused on the micro-changes in their programs and are afraid to step out of their comfort zone like they did when they first started. Layne is a great example too - he went way too far deep in the PL rabbit hole - should have taken breaks, maybe he wouldn't have had so many injuries.

I'm plenty happy with peaking as a natty. Even on creatine you will peak unless you stack it with protein powder and add more and more. This is life, everything is relative. Why do you need to be bigger and stronger, and bigger and stronger than that and bigger and stronger than that? Have fun fighting infinity.

I'll always stay natty myself but I feel like after 4 years or more of putting 100% effort (like 100% effort) then you basically reached the best version of yourself.
The people I mentioned have gotten 'stronger' over time but look the same or a tad worse..
I guess what I'm trying to say is, why dwell on it ? Either find something else or drink lemonade..

As a complete guess, I think it'd take more like 12-15 years to completely maximize your potential. Even if over the last 8 years you only gain 5-7 lb. of LBM you'll still be improved. And 7 lb. LBM when you're lean makes a pretty big difference.
