What about morgan suprlock where he just eats mcdonalds for 30 days and his bloodwork comes back absolute dog**** tier? Was that garbage?
There was an article a couple of years back about an overweight nutrition profssor at a college that dieted for 30 days on nothing but twinkies to prove CICO to his students. As I recall he had blood work done and it all improved as a result of losing the body fat.

Update #2: Feel phucking amazing. I was chitting a lot the first week but it went back to normal. Literally have never felt better in my life mentally or physically srs. Joint pain is gone and my energy levels are amazing. Don't even need caffeine. Only negative so far is, I do miss some foods. Also recovery after workouts has been on another level.

Yeah, I was gonna get it done in like 6 weeks because I thought I was gonna not really have any feels and would be tired of meat but I'll wait till like 8-12 weeks for a good sample. So in another month or two i'll get full bloodwork...inb4 I spontaneously die from this diet before then

Eat your vegies like your mother told you.

FFS, WTF is it with people and this nonsense. Eat your fruit and vegies, some meat, fish and dairy, and starchy stuff to keep you going. Do most of your shopping at the greengocers, butchers and fishmongers, not the supermarket and takeout joints. Seriously it is not that complicated.

But if his blood markers improve, feels great, adheres to the diet well, whats wrong with just eating meat?

...you must not have read my thread...I have had an amazing, well balanced diet for years before this bro. The only reason this diet interested me was because I often have joint pain that is present very frequently and in an interview with someone they brought up possible toxicity from vegitables and starches, and when they switched to a strictly meat diet their severe rheumatoid arthritis (joint pain) went away.

I think its a stupid idea because on days when i have oatmeal and brocolli I feel like a million bucks. I can even eat a nasty greasy cheesburger with onion rings and still feel ok as long as i had my brocolli with it.

Does that mean i should go out and make a podcast online and get everyone to do exactly that?

No.

My concern would be some eventual form of neurodegeneration due to a potential extended absence of vital nutrients.

Don't do it. The guy that promotes it only does it because his daughter has severe food allergies and he wanted to prove someone could live off it or something. It is not something you should do for optimal results in anything other than.. severe food allergies I guess.

Everyone just needs to experiment with what works best for them. Took me years to find what works best for me and it happens to be close to zero carbs a day. I've known other people that thrive on high carbs. People need to stop speaking in absolutes.

Man... i wish everyone could of experienced the hike/bike trips i did from a diet/health perspective. When you're hiking 25+ miles day after day or bicycling 100 miles day after day ... what works and doesn't work health wise becomes extremely obvious.

In those 9 months I:

1. Had compartment syndrome in both my legs = gone
2. Had patella tendinitis really bad in both legs = gone
3. 100x the energy levels
4. Zero headaches
5. Zero sickness
6. Zero stomach aches / bad chits
7. Looked 5 years younger easy
8. 100x happier

When it came to food cravings. Nothing satiated better than meat. You can eat a lot of ramen/rice/carbs... but the body was always craving a steak or pepperoni or something. Carbs ... was like a chore to eat... just for the calories. The moment you get your hands on some jerky or something you're literally jumping for joy. I've never heard of someone salivating over a ball of dough or bowl of rice... but a steak/jerky... absolutely yes. Surely that must give insight into what the body desires.

I'm pretty convinced the real problem is peoples sedentary lifestyles. IMO... when you're burning 5-10K calories/day the body will use all of whatever it can get its hands on. So there really isn't any excess to be dealt with / stored. I think when people are 9-5 sedentary and the body has to start storing the excess things entering .... it creates all kinds of weird effects. I think being sedentary and mixing a lot of carbs with meat = bad.

I've also experimented with not mixing food groups. For instance, if you're going to eat carbs then just eat carbs ... don't mix meat in. If you're going to eat meat then you can toss in some veggies. Mixing carbs and meat always seemed to give gas, heart burn, or just bad chits. The problem is... this takes a decent amount of awareness and discipline to stay on track.

As a cattle rancher I like the notion of an all meat diet but it’s just not practical. I would be willing to wager I eat more red meat on a daily basis than anybody on the misc(between 3-4 lbs Home raised 95% grass fat 5% corn fed beef per day) and I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt you’re going to short yourself vital nutrients and micro nutrients (the misc way undersells the importance of micro nutrients) which WILL cause problems for you. I do believe the daily suggested intake of meats is WAY too low but to eliminate everything but meat is folly. To me the sweet spot is 3-4 lbs of steak (mostly lean as I don’t over fatten my cattle to get the ridiculous over marbled near diabetic angus (trash) meat you get in stores) with a half cup of store bought rice/ear of corn out of the garden/one large home dug potato/2 slices of bread (this is a worst case scenario as I avoid processed foods like the plague) and 6 1200mg fish oils a day. Once again that’s just me and I realize it’s not a ton of dietary diversity but it’s a damn sight better than just meat.

same. The diet sounds easy because it would be phuckin' delicious, however, i'd wager that overtime the levels of constipation would be legendary

.....oh and pretty damn expensive at that.
