No drinking problem here, always nice to challenge yourself tho. The day I feel resistance to doing without is the day I sorry about my drinking habits.

Mirin your October tho, das it man. I'll be drinking on Halloween too, huge block party in my hood each year.

October is the best month of the year to sit outside during the cool fall weather and sip on some whiskey while smoking a cigar. no thanks jeff

I am in.

Quit alcohol for a while now, (few years) and can confirm that going cold turkey is a bad idea, seizers suck.... and itโ€™s not uncommon, I hear about it in the rooms all the time. I hope saying this doesnโ€™t break any rules. And Halloween will be easy thereโ€™s an aa event.

Sober October

Quitting tobacco and all nicotine products

Quitting energy drinks and really caffeine addiction

Gonna be a good month bros I looks forward to the anxiety. So far I had a small urge to buy a pack of smokes and it went away after 15 minutes. I'm like "that's all you got you lil bish?" I thought it would be more intense withdrawals after 7 years of smoking

I'm ready for more pain bros, bring it on

trying to quit alcohol but it so hard when your clients always "want to meet for drinks" to discuss deals and you look like a homo saying "haha no i cant drink this month"

Ill stick with my "not taking sports as serious" thing. I noticed that wins and losses of teams I cheer for was literally affecting my moods. It wasn't healthy because there is nothing I can do about them winning or losing and I am not affiliated with them at all.

Good luck. I stopped cold turkey last year after 5 years of smoking. Haven't had a cig in 13 months and the thought of one makes me feel sick. First few weeks are the hardest, then it's easy.

Posted this in the other thread:

In, giving up alcohol. And in case this doesn't seem like a big deal I have many celebratory dinners planned, including a 3 star michelin place, where I'll simply say 'a bottle of sparkling water, please'. Though I guess I could get virgin cocktails.

I don't drink too much in general, but whenever I go out to fine dining events I always tend to have something like an aperitif, some wine during the meal, a digestivo after...etc. So this'll be pretty challenging, srs.

I'll try to cut down on things that make me lazy and unproductive, and focus on discipline and productivity

Less drinking, less miscing, less procrastinating

More exercise, starting the day earlier, acting instead of reacting

Stopped using Tinder and Bumble for dates. Chit was getting BEYOND toxic and I found myself becoming super jaded from it. was kind of warping my feelings towards women. doesn't help that 98% of girls on dating apps are looking for validation and have the personality of door handles.

Would rather go out and meet someone in person
