I didn't say he didn't have surgery. I said he milked it just like Federer did. Federer said he was "on one leg" at the opening of Rafa's academy. Then he returns and no only destroys his greatest rival 4-0 that year but wins two slams including Wimbledon without dropping a set.

As for Novak I said something was fishy about it especially in the way he brushed off McEnroe's comments comparing him to Tiger Woods. And now with Laver Cup right before it.... doesn’t surprise me that it might mean even less now to the guys. I think they’ll probably get a bit more geared up for Shanghai since it’s a Masters event but Beijing suffers from just being in a chitty part of the calendar... kind of like Paris.

Djokovic definitely does so I think he's probably regretting not playing Beijing which schedule wise only made sense if he skipped Laver Cup.

Last year was clearly a career year for Sock. As an American, I've been following him since he was 18. He's a top 30 or 40 player at best., and he's getting to the end of his run now. I wouldn't be surprised to see him become more of a doubles specialist going forward. He's much better at doubles.
