I would srsly lose my respect for ufc if they strip khabib off his title. Yeah he started a brawl after the fight,so what? There have been many times fights have gotten personal between fighters in combat sports which had ultimately lead to riots. Lets not act like connor would be getting the same amount of hate if he had done the same thing.

You know its true what they say about ufc fans that a lot of them are former wwe fanboys who moved to following mma after finding out that pro-wrestling is fake.

Its one of the reasons why trash talking entertainers like Conor are treated like superstars in this sport because for them its literally a WWE-like character mixed with real fighting.

I wouldn't be surprised if after all this dana still continues to treat Conor like his golden boy for the sake of entertainment and making money but it'll be an insult to real fighters like Khabib especially if hes stripped off his title and not allowed to fight again.

This. I think some people forget that part of the reason why the double standard exists (Conor's behavior vs Khabib's) is precisely because Conor makes a ton of money for the UFC, so he gets a kind of carte blanche (to an extent that Khabib doesn't). And Khabib has no problem saying this:



And other comments to Dana like 'I'm gonna smash your boy'. There's a reason why fighters like Khabib, Woodley, Cormier, Rockhold etc. are far less liked despite being very talented: it's because they take the 'heel' role compared to the respective poster childs (that generate a lot more UFC revenue). Woodley is pretty 'boring' in terms of selling a fight though he's damn talented; Conor is great at promoting; Jones was far preferred to Cormier; and Bisping owned Rockhold repeatedly. Yet the fan boys behind the hype trains from the 'preferred fighters' simply can't take it when their 'champ' is humiliated, like Conor was by Khabib, and this is something that many UFC fans have been calling for at least 2 years now (2016 is when the buzz really started), hence why odds were in Khabib's favor.

Anything else is cope.

The Russian flag is displayed because Dagestan is a federal subject of Russia, but you are talking about a very disputed and controversial geographical area that is marred in separation and conflict. He is of Avar descent, he is not "Russian" regardless of what flag they associate him with.
