See location gonna be a direct hit das it mane. Brahs are making this seem like it's gonna be a timothy storm but weak ass Hermine came though a little while back, was only here for one day or so and most of tallahassee lost power for like 2 weeks

Just within the past two weeks there was a mild storm that knocked out power in some parts of the city

this is gonna be fun. srs.

Good thing is that it should be moving relatively fast. Isn't forecast to stall like Florence or Harvey. Strong winds but shouldn't be too terrible.

I'm surprised that the power line system is that weak considering hurricanes are a frequent thing.

I live in colorado on the plains where we get 60-70mph winds a few times each spring and they've got it to where a power outage is a rare thing

Basically all meteorologists. The NHC only issues advisories once a "potential tropical cyclone" forms, which for this storm was yesterday. It's all verbiage. This storm has been showing up on the models for like weeks now.
