I have never been a really big car guy but if you are into cars or not, good for you. That being said, LOL at people talking down about it while having ridiculous clubs/hobbies/etc in their signatures. Spend a couple hours working on a vehicle and you at least have something to show for it. What do you get for watching people throwing a ball through a hoop?

nice cars are fun

driving long distances in a honda (or any econobox) sucks dink

EDIT: literally any base model luxury car has a better driving experience, i have no idea why people buy cars like ford fusions or honda accords for 20-30k when you can do a CPO 328i or c300

People have different hobbies and for me, cars have been my life. I've never had a car that I haven't put an exhaust on and my 62' Nova and Mustang Cobra are LOUD.

You’re literally a twink ******* if you’re not into cars. I’m mind blown dudes here are into bodybuilding but hate loud cars.

Then again this is the misc.

I daily a N54 335i
I do my own oil changes and minor tweaks
I also have friends who know how to work on my Beamer. Been really helpful w Routine maintenance.

Today I was getting gas before work and some lady in Mazda car just died while getting gas. Newer rx-8. I always lol when people ask me about maintenance. If you know how to drive and know your car you won’t run into issues. It’s usually the driver of the car.

It's really not that much more expensive than taking care of a Honda, if you consider cars an actual hobby then you probably dont have an issue spending a little more. Most modern cars are pretty reliable assuming you maintain it regularly, reliability issues are exaggerated on the internet. Most people irl who actually drive a MB or BMW will tell you the same thing. Get a PPI before you buy and have some general DIY knowledge on basic things (oil, spark plugs, etc). Also helps to know what to look for with certain models you are looking at.

EDIT: If you dont care about cars then yes just buy some chitbox for a few grand and drive the hell out of it.

I can appreciate the look of cars and their performance, but for me, I only need my car to get from point A to point B. Used to drive a couple of BMWs and those cars were up to their rims in issues. Drive a Ford now and it's much more stress-free knowing that I don't have to take it in for regular check-ups.

It would be cool to upgrade your vehicle if the journey to work took you through some dangerous terrain and long stretches of road. But its not as cool when you are using your sweet car to sit in stop and go traffic. It's cool that you get a few seconds accelerating onto the freeway though.

No it's like the exact opposite.

Base models of cars like BMWs and mercs etc are not as good as an all out top of the range "lower tier" manufacturer usually

I understand not blowing your money on an expensive car. And I understand how some cars can be obnoxiously loud. But how can you not like a smooth V8 with some rumble?
i just want an autopilot tesla that can drive itself during my commute while I sleep in the backseat. couldn't care less about anything else.

people have some srs diminishing returns on the money they spend on cars.

as far as the perfomance experience, a 0-60 of 4.6 from a used gt mustang is gonna be the best deal

if you don't care about performance and want something reliable, you'd never need to pay more than 10k.

low mileage used is always the way to go

unless you're dealing in exceptionally expensive/rare cars, it's a horrendous depreciating asset

Lmao so much wrong with this post

Big difference between a Nissan Versa and literally any other car.

There's a whole community flooding instagram full of car guys with ridiculously nice cars. Nice generalizations

c'mon bruh, he said top model lower brand vs base model luxury brand. Accord sport is dead middle of their lineup, and a 528i is far from a base model bmw...p sure he meant 3 series. That being said, I'm still inclined to agree with you as far as ride quality/comfort

I used to love cars but now I don't care so much. The car scene, at least in my area, is over populated with snobby kids who build cars off of their parents pockets. Then you have the Mopar guys who all think they're gods gift when they literally all have the same 392 Charger/Challenger with an aftermarket exhaust.

I do miss building my own cars, and probably will build something in the near future but I don't have the same urge I once did.
