Of course it’s a weird concept. But for me sex is a small part of the equation. My libido is extremely low, and most the time I couldn’t care less about sex. The mood strikes me much less at this point in my life

Much of it is the testosterone blocker that I take. I am 52 next month. I’ve always wanted to transition, but was terrified of the fallout and collateral damage.

I have a question! Do the hormones themselves give you more feminine features. I know some mtf transexuals get plastic surgery on their face and breast implants to further soften their features but can the meds themselves do most of the transformation on their own?

No. I think she’s whack. I was keeping it secret for about a year so yes I was dressing at home. When I finally came out I did take all my clothes en masse and give them to the Vietnam veterans. And then I just purchased slowly from there

Relationships are admittedly tough. Tons of guys want to knock on my door at night, but very few want to go get a cup of coffee. I would love a serious relationship, but I’m also aware that it might not happen. I’m good with that.
I’m like anyone else with sex. Sometimes the body just wants it. I’m sure you can relate. But I have very few physical connections with people. Just don’t need to.

Good morning. I was about 3.50 percent intoxicated last night lol. Would still be cool to meet GreekyBeth. Yes. They are extremely effective shaping secondary feminine traits. Especially if you’re younger. Mad’s thread shows this repeatedly.
I’ve had BA and tracheal shave. No face work done (but maybe I should! Lol )

I'm so sorry to hear that your family does not accept you now.While I would be shocked and surprised if my son was trans sexual (or gay) I would accept him as he is, no matter what. I'm sure it would take getting used to but I can't imagine turning away from this boy that I carried for 9 months and have loved more than life itself his whole life.

I think they do, but probably only when you start young - I'm friends with a girl who works at a client of mine. Have known her for a year or so, hung out a couple times, just as friends. I recently found out from someone else that she is trans, and I had NO idea, not even a little. Voice and everything is very feminine. I kind of want to ask her questions, like when she started hormones, how feminine she was before, etc. I was mind blown I was completely fooled lol. In hindsight the only clue is she's lean, but so are lots of girls.

Hey Beth,

Curious how this has affected your experience generally with medical care. Just thinking doctors are people too and some definitely have some predetermined ideas about things...women getting under treated/believed less, fat people having every symptom get blamed on their weight, old people being treated as less competent.

Do you check in regularly with and endocrinologist? Since hormone levels change with age?
