I knew that there is a significant amount of Scandinavian DNA in Scotland. As for the link you posted my point was that on those 23andme or ancestory DNA profiles it doesn't differentiate between Scottish, English or Irish it just gives percentages of British Isles I was not trying to imply there was no difference just that they are closely related. I understand what your saying about the people that go around on St. Patrick's day saying their "Irish" everybody finds those types cringeworthy. Elizabeth Warren only did the Native American thing because to liberals being seen as non white makes your opinions and political positions more valid. I'm not trying to disagree with you just give you some perspective as to why some Americans do that

OP you made the situation creepy in first place you definitely should have said you’ve ran out of gas

The old man made it creepy with asking too many questions after that. If some old used up truck was parking in my area in Texas I would be concerned too. 2 much crime and criminals these days.

And people seem to lose more and more the ability to communicate with strangers. People like OP make that harder every day. Can’t talk to strangers in a non creepy way 9/10 times these days

Not sure if it is the same there as here, but in this state you can't leave a vehicle parked in one place for over a certain length of time, even if it is in a driveway. They will actually check to see if it has moved so many inches over a period of so many days.

Stupid rule and waste of time, but there all the same.

Lots of people have that. What do you expect? You're living in a nun world. So of course you're going to have paranoid nuns running around everywhere.

I had the cops called on me by my stupid ass neighbor one time because her dogs chain knocked her lawn chair down into her basement door when the dog was running around in the yard, and so she thought I did it.

This is literally how stupid some people are.

The cop showed up. I said I was sun-tanning and that she was a ****ing idiot and that her dog knocked it over.

The cop didn't even say a word. He looked at the situation. Turned around. And walked back to his car.

Meanwhile she's chasing after him as he's walking back to his car saying " aren't you going to do anything about it?"

He ignores her and starts his car and drives off.

The fact that she didn't even have the mental capacity to even ask me what happened before she called the cops just goes to show how ****ing deluded and paranoid she is.
