I doubt he "focused on material things". I think as a nerd in school and later at work, he really didn't have much of a choice. He probably hoped that by earning enough, people would love him but then he realized that most of the women would just try to use him for his money. The thing is, he should have just given in and taken a gold digging kunt and made her bear his seed. He goofed searching for real love. A lot of sloots fall in love with money. And that's just how it is. If you think about it, money is more immediately heritable than intelligence, height, dink size, or any other thing you can think of. When you die with a fortune, your kid is gonna be rich. Your kid is gonna be famous. All of that is automatic. It makes sense that money is very attractive to cumdumpster baby factories. He should have just seen that simple truth, and used his greatest strength (his wealth) to further his bloodline. I feel really bad for him. He wasn't really that well known by your average person though. I mean, If you saw him in a coffee shop, you wouldn't have been like, "holy sht, that is the billionaire Microsoft dude Paul Allen!"
