It's 2018.. People are offended by white people just for being white.

No costume is necessary

Your mind is so simple it’s adorable lol! Do you know what it means to exist? Do you think you truly understand what it is to exist and to know what exists? This is really cute man you actually countered yourself in the last paragraph and think you doubled down on your original point by saying “that’s not the point” which ironically, negates your whole precedent of outrage to begin with. I wouldn't GAF if I saw someone wearing it, but you're dense if you can't see how this is a tasteless and offensive costume to sport. No hate to the kid, but his parents are idiots for thinking this is ok.

If they actually saw it, most of them wouldn't be fine with it. But a noticeable minority of miscers are not so subtle Hitler admirers, so I'm not surprised.

If I had a kid who wanted to dress as Hitler, Stalin, etc, I'd smack him upside the head.

Fixed.

Not surprising since they were allies. Many Japanese "historians" still claim that events like the Rape of Nanking never happened, that the Japanese were the victims in WWII, and all those countries they invaded were actually welcoming them with open arms. It's what's taught in their schools as well.

probably not wrong, but that doesn't discount that it's a tasteless costume that just doesn't need to be worn.

Brb wearing shirts with all sorts of profanities on it at Chuck e Cheese, but since the kdis aren't offended and don't understand it it's fine right?

My point isn't that what they're doing is wrong. It's just stupid and pointless for any reason other than stirring up other people.

Oh i see

you're one of those people that thinks talking down to people and being condescending means you automatically win an argument. Got it.

You're too clueless to realize my "that's not the point" was a pre-emptive counter to people who might try to deflect from my proposed hypothetical with an ethos issue, not "doubling down" on my initial argument. Show me again where I'm outraged, and not just shocked by your perspective/opinions.

I'll go even further and ask you to show me anything that points to Satan's existence being even as close to concrete as Hitler's.

I'll wait.

Chit's nothing new. Back in Jr. High we had a tour of the world history night and I got Germany so I had pictures that had the swastika in it at my table because obviously WWII is a massive part of recent history and Germany, before the night even began I got yelled at and was told to remove all of this stuff.

People are so overtly sensitive to this chit, like I ain't glamourizing it or anything, it's literal fuking history. This was back in like 2004 too.

In this case it is a costume, who cares? Get offended and fuk off elsewhere, unless the kid starts reciting hate speech and taking it seriously then leave it be. Like mentioned by others you can go as much more "evil" things and no one bats an eye, fairly sure if I went as Stalin no one would say chit.

so you proved my point they are offended because they know who it is. Stalin killed far more than hitler, but you dont hear people throwing a fit over it. I wouldn't let my kid do it, but if someone else wants to that's their business. The kid didnt kill 6 M jews. Such a feelings ******* you are.

Are you really 37 years old and incapable of seeing how this can be offensive to someone?

Would you be okay if someone dressed up as Adam Lanza? Or the columbine shooters?

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Honoring someone so despicable by dressing like them reflects poorly on the dresser, and the people condoning the behavior.

I find the fascination humans have with Hitler to be a bit strange. All these hollywood movies, documentaries, books, etc. I don't see what's so interesting about the dude, other than that he was a drug fueled psycho.

I personally wouldn't let my child wear it, seems like a stupid halloween costume. Kids are suppose to want to be monsters and chit, not Hitler.

I said how does this effect anyone. Can you read. Offensive sure to some *******s eho can't get over something that happened almost 80 years ago, sure.

No one would get any of your other examples unless they were trying to be offended. I really wouldn't care or be offended. I'd almost be happy they aren't following the gay trends of cross dressing or some of today's real problems in society.

let's be honest the chances his parents put him up to dress this way vs him actually knowing who the **** Hitler is and wanting to dress like him, are very low.

Personally wouldn't give a **** but i can see why some people would be offended. especially if you had a relative who died in that war figting hitler.
