Thanks for bumping, was going to find this thread this morning. I hope everyones puppers and kitters are going great! Lets get some pics up in this bish!

My boo ready for a nap after his morning walk and eggs.

I went to volunteer orientation on Thursday night for a local rescue. They have cats and dogs. I have to wait until the end of the month for the dog training, but am going to go help in the kitty room until then. Will prob start tomorrow morning. I can't wait to get back to volunteering. It's so fulfilling! My son is going to do cat cuddling there too.

^^it definitely needed a bump! I'll be sharing some pics soon.

Your pup looks pretty comfy. My pup has a routine of an egg on Saturday. No walk yet...waiting for the rain to stop. Good stuff on volunteering!

He is spoiled, he gets a little bit of my eggs every morning. Does your pupper refuse to stay out in the rain? Mine doesn't like it when it's raining, but just drizzling he's usually fine. I read a long time ago that the reason dogs don't like rain is not due to the getting wet part, but because of the sound of it. I guess because their hearing is super sensitive? Was interesting to read. Always chalked it up to them not liking to get wet.

My dogs are amazing. I posted so many pics itt though, so you all know what they look like. They are spoiled, Blackjack is overweight, but Lily is skinny. They eat the same amount of everything and get very few handouts. I think something is with his thyroid hence the extra weight. I don't want to be one of those owners who kill their dogs with kindness by letting them get fat. I do spoil them within reason though. Love them. Legzz could you ever do two doggos?

How overweight is he? A few lbs I wouldn't be too concerned with but more than that maybe try giving him more exercise? I'm sure it would be hard to put him on a diet with another dog in the household. I would love more than 1 doggo, but my boo can't be with other dogs. It's prob good cause it keeps me from bringing home a bunch of shelter dogs to foster. I also couldn't afford more than 1-2. I'd def foster though, since the rescue pays for everything.

My dingo doesn't like being out in the rain. A drizzle is fine, but more than that and he wants in.

Here's a picture of him last year, probably 4 or 5 months old. Still growing into his ears,

And a recent picture, letting me know it's time for a belly rub:

So stinking cute! I think it's so awesome you have a dingo! I would have never thought people actually had them as pets.

fun pic, he was struggling with what toy to play with so he surrounded himself with many options:

so my guy is an American Dingo, or Carolina Dog. Not related to an actual dingo...sorry to disappoint! From the AKC's page, "Carolina dogs are descended from the canines that accompanied the Paleo-Indians who traveled from Asia to North America over the Bering land bridge. Today, they can still be found living wild near the Georgia-South Carolina border, but have also been seen as far north as Ohio and Pennsylvania and as far west as Arizona; rural areas are the common denominator."

I gave him a DNA test out of curiosity after getting him from a rescue....it was all over the place. Husky, collie, boxer, beagle, staffordshire terrier, and the rest was "undetermined working hound." I really wasn't impressed with the DNA results. A vet tech pointed out that he's a Carolina Dog...and he's a spitting image!

Here are a few more pics of my Samoyed.

Edit: I have a video on Imgur of him rolling around on the ground on something stinky, but can't figure out how to link it.

lol at the pic of him surrounded by his toys! Oh, well, still pretty cool that he's descended from actual current wild doggos. Yeah, I did a DNA test on my boy and I don't know if maybe I didn't get the sample correctly but I wasn't too impressed. His actually came up with rottweiler and APBT I think. His dad had to have been a lab or had lab since my boo looks like a lab, just a little more muscular.

Oh I know. I had a keyshand (sp?). Thick ball of fur but adorable as hell. Everyone loved her.

Thanks. We had to put the signs up so the delivery people stop there. A UPS driver almost ran him over even though my buddy was tied up.
I have a very long driveway so the guy had no excuse. I have a business and mail out about 100 packages a year. Due to that, I will never use UPS again.

I havne't seen any of those older bands in years. Don't think I've ever seen Heart but I could be wrong. Last time saw Def Lep was 3 years ago and they were with Styx. Saw them a while back with Journey, but unfortunately it wasn't Steve Perry singing. Sounded just like him though.

lol

My friend's rescue dog (lab/pit mix) just bit his son not even 2 yet.

The dog is always so sweet, and I swear even sees the baby as his litter mate. But the dog has bad hips and the son accidently fell on them, and it was just a reaction thing. I know my Lily and Blackjack will step on one another sometimes and they yipe and it just is a knee jerk reaction thing. To bite in response.

Oh no.Yeah, it's hard when there's a valid reason for the dog to lash out. What are they going to do?

They have it on tape, because he records when not home. The nanny didn't catch it in time so I don't know what they'll do with her. But he and his wife thought about it, they are going to build a sectioned off area to keep the dogs in when they're not home and at work. It's like they have the incident on video and there was no malice or attack behind it. The baby just fell onto the dogs backend and it hurt his hips.

That is what I'd suggest. Keeping them away from the kids when they're not right there to supervise.

So our night time routine before bed is go for walk, I throw Jolly Ball a couple times, he brings it back and tries to get that ball in the middle, then cookie (dog biscuit) and bed time. The other night I threw his jolly ball a couple times then sat down and wasn't paying attention to him. He got quiet and I looked over and this is what I see

He's staring me down waiting for his night time cookie. lol I think this is the cutest pose I've ever seen him do. <3

I was raking some leaves the other day and my pup thought he would help out by eating one. Very helpful little guy.

Legz, did that pose get him 2 biscuits?
