Wait how do you seriously not understand the difference between adding 50lbs to a bar you've already got 850lbs on(total including the bar) vs adding 50 lbs to a bar you've got 100lbs total on? As a percentage of the total amount (6% or something) it isn't super crazy to move up that amount....until you are hitting huge numbers in which case any increase is insane.

A good example is adding 5lbs on each side of a 1 plate lift(135 total) is a 7% gain.

Look I get where you're coming from and mathematically this is correct.

But Powerlifting doesn't work like that.

Larry increased his TOTAL by 100lbs (2100 to 2200 so 5%) in TWO YEARS.

Once you're moving top notch weight it's not "just some more %"

Whereas beginners take huge steps in terms of weight lifted (as seen in plenty of progress threads on here)

So did you get it now or do you want to teach larry about how easy it should be to add another 5% to his total the next time he works out?

Again all I tried to point out is that even with insane newbie gains I didn't put up as much weight on the bar as larry did in a worldrecord PR.

If you count yourself to "half the people in this thread" then you've got your answer.

Where is your quality Input to this discussion?

I was making a pun in my post on page 1 about how I was unable to hit a 50lbs PR even with newbie gains while Larry wheels PR'd his worldrecord level squat by 50lbs.

If that's over your head I don't know man

Then dozens chime in with their % math which is mathematically correct but not relevant when talking about newbie gains and world records

You started chiming in when I answered others on their % math posts and called me an autist, so I tried to explain why I am right.

I think you're not aware of the context of my previous answers and thus are rightfully confused.

To put it simply: Larry is a monster and haters gonna hate, have a good one

Yes, this is exactly what I am trying to explain to you. It is easier for Larry to throw an extra 50 pounds onto a lift when it is a 6% increase in weight lifted versus going from 135 to 185 which is a 27% increase. People were trying to be nice to you, but somehow things got twisted around lmfao.

But yes, we are all entirely in agreement that 900 is yuuuuuge.

Who cares if he's supping, his body his rules, supping shouldn't be illegal but whatever.

Some of you really need to understand the physiology behind supping before you start spouting off nonsense.

Those lifts don't just happen because you pin x, y and z
