To be fair, something similar could've happened even if it was all bears in a cage or all wolves in a cage. These are dangerous animals with the capacity to kill.

That being said, "Stunned zookeepers say they have no idea why the bears attacked" is plain fuken next level retardation.

I don't think common sense can give a definitive answer to that.

Bears and wolves in an enclosure may create rivalries between the two groups, while promoting unity within each one.
Whereas a homogeneous group of bears or wolves might promote competition on the individual level.

Switch "bears" for "animals". Nature is tough.

I'm sure most people are jesting but obviously bears and wolves is slightly different from putting humans from different cultures together...
