That whole side should be classified as mentally handicapped. Trying to fit squares into round holes, and for what? Absolutely nothing.

Third is written in German so for all we know it's for the exhibit from the video since they said they've lived together for over a year before this happened.
And even if it has happened in 3 other zoos, that would mean that 1 out of 4 times the bears rip a wolf to shreds, so 25% chance. But you're actually lying when you say it's common, because most people know that if you put grizzlies and wolves together they will fight. Only in a case when they are raised together from cubs is there a chance the bears will not kill the wolves.

I didn't lie, I was surprised how retarded zoo owners have to be to do this as well, so I looked up pics of bears and wolves together and posted the first three links I found. Dunno, if there are more zoos doing that.
Personally I wouldn't put them together, because I could see the situation escalate during feeding, when both species are trying to get to the food. Wloves are much smaller than bears and the bears might flatten one going for their meat.

there is way too much bearphobia going on in this thread. stop being so bigoted, species is a social construct - bears and wolves are both animals and they WILL be more inclusive because it's 2018

This actually does seem like weird behaviour from the bears. Even wth equal numbers and bears being bigger, I don’t think you’d often see this in the wild. Trying to take on a pack of wolves with them running around chomping on you would be too great a risk (minor wounds turning into major infections) unless the bears were absolutely starving. In captivity, the bears attacking a pack of wolves really doesn’t make sense

So you're supposed to be thinking that the Bears are the brown immigrants that are attacking white people right?
But it was the wolves that were added to the Bears compound. The wolves were the immigrants. And try as they might, they bear was too powerful to stop.
This is a good metaphor because it actually shows a different view. Brown people aren't being mass imported to kill the white race. They are being imported to be a new working class for the white people. It's the white people that make these rules.
Because they don't have to live in the slums with them.
But the more common white people, that have to share school, jobs, housing, etc with them (not the upper class) think that they are there to wipe them out.
Because white people all think they are middle class or above. None of them like to think damn if I'm living in the same ends as all these immigrants then maybe I am actually a peasant.
Cos there sure as hell ain't any immigrants where the rich people live lol.
So remember, while a few Bears might get bitten. Overall it's the wolves who were added to a more powerful group, and the wolves with suffer because of it

That's likely what prevents this type of attack in the other cases where wolves and bears are put together in equal numbers. These animals have access to food so why would they risk injury without there being a cub or a wolf pup involved?

Not sure if it has been said but its a shame they didn't put pit bulls in there instead of wolves. Would have locked the jaws and it would have been over (assuming there wasn't a more delicious looking elderly person or child that was distracting the pits).

lmao misc logic
where the needless death of one wolf is tragic, but the murder of all pitbulls and pitbull owners is parroted.
stupid ass zoo though. not sure who decided that was ever even worth considering...to my knowledge, apex predators rarely share territories.
