the kid probably deserved by throwing a basketball and calling him the n-word, but beating the chit out of him was the wrong thing to do. he wasn't really threatening him and seemed to be caught off guard by the punch. I don't think this will go well in court despite the kid technically throwing the ball first. But i don't know much about inner city schools if this was an inner city school, I heard kids can be brutal as fuk and just look to swing on teachers.

That teacher did not smack him once (that would have been justified) but continued to hit him probably the way he used to when he was in a gang before cleaning up and becoming a teacher.

Either way teacher will rot in jail with 135k or without.
Depends on the legal system where he lives. Unlikely he does any jail time. Probably pay fines and community service or something like that.


He's a 64 year old teacher most likely with no criminal record. I'd be shocked if he spent more then 45 minutes or an hour in jail while being charged/processed.

Kid deserved it but teacher went overboard.

I can understand where you're coming from. I'd make my son apologize and demand one from the teacher. My wife is the type that would want to sue, but unless there were some type of medical issues that resulted from this, I'd use the situation as an learning opportunity.
