Smh, help with workouts?

I need help in the gym. After all the research I've done in terms of what sets and reps are optimal, progressive overload, drop sets, rest pause sets and normal sets... I am left flabbergasted . ... I want to get stronger and build lean muscle. No bulk. Period. Please help me understand what's optimal for size and strength in terms of sets and reps...Please be serious

Pick a popular and well known beginner strength program and go to the gym. You’re complicating this. At this point, anything would work for you

As horrible as that sounds. That's about where I am, lol. My profile pic is from 2016. I have put on a little muscle since then but overall I look like ****. So, you're saying try a beginners program?I consider myself intermediate. Basics won't work as I have plateaued unless they're to failure

You calling where you're at a "plateau"? You're not putting enough effort in to a proven program.

I'm looking to build lean. I keep reading that strength training initiates a type of caloric effecr that helps you drop fat even after you workout.

You've got a lot to learn, folks are trying to help you but your chitty attitude towards them isn't doing you any good.

You need a simple full body program 3x a week and eat about 250 cals over your maintence to slowly gain weight. You can not gain muscle without gaining weight

don't ignore working out, you can't build muscle from eating without resistance training. Your body doesn't need muscle to sit around all day

LOL, You think I've been lifting for "years", but I started in June of this year, and have dropped 25 pounds. Really funny thing is, with a very bad leg, I can squat 3x more than you.

I'll be returning your rep too.
