There were little things, mostly. Most concerning was her BFF who is a total piece of tinder sloot trash. They started texting constantly and spending lots of time together. She left her husband and I know she was working on my girl. But again, I was told I was just being paranoid.

bruh that sucks. Cancerous friends like that are bad news. As bad as it sounds I would forbid my wife spending too much time with a recent divorcee.

Thankfully she prefers to be at home with her children and isn't a whore so it isn't a worry at this time.

Stay safe. I don't know how anyone can really trust a partner 100% after something like this.

I've given in once. It destroys your self-esteem (buckling) and things don't get better. It's not just an angry knee-jerk reaction that's making people tell you to hold the line. This will make you stronger if you manage it.

If for whatever reason you ever find yourself faltering, just close your eyes and envision the amount of times that she was lapping up that guy's salty scrotum with her tongue and enjoying it. Or picture all of the loads she took on her face with a smile. Because I think that when people who have been cheated on think about taking their partner back, they don't pause for a moment to contemplate what the cheating actually entailed. And I can't say there's anything more sobering than thoughts like that.

Stop spouting this incel bull****.

At the end of the day, most people are reasonable, and most people have feelings. You telling OP that she's happy is a poor attempt at redpilling him.

Here's what's really happening:
- Said girl is likely shocked/dumbfounded/embarrassed right now, and is trying to process what just happened. She hasn't realized the full scope and implications of her actions. She, no doubt, feels bad, and probably regrets her decision. She is slowly realizing that losing the security and comfort of a 9 year relationship for a quick fling with another male isn't worth it. He may have money/prestige, but he can't replace all the good memories OP and his ex have had. He has likely been there for her many times, while the surgeon couldn't give less of a ****.
- Said surgeon probably doesn't know about OP. Said surgeon probably doesn't care about the girl enough to marry her and give her a good life.

Cliffs:
- People who make mistakes/poor decisions are not immune from feeling bad.
This.

Not to sound like I'm on her side, I'm not, but if she was hoping for marriage with this surgeon odds are that's what she wanted from you. Soooo 9 years of her life has been wasted playing house. I will never understand why people who want marriage stay playing bf and gf for 5+ years.

That all said, she should not have been a coward and started talking to anyone when she was in a relationship. A scummy thing to do.

Since when was cheating an appropriate response to a relationship? Adults can split up amicably if they aren't satisfied with the conditions. In retrospect, OP's circumstances would be 100% worse if he married her and had children. (assuming this isn't a troll thread)

If anything, OP had his reasons for not getting married validated in spades.

Sorry to hear man, sometimes even the guys with good heads on their shoulders get burned. Very happy you played your cards right with your life choices though and can come out of this with a new lease on life and happy. I'll be getting married soon but live very similar to you, no kids, her name is on nothing, and prenuptial, if things go south or I am just not pleased with the relationship anymore I have the freedom to walk. As much as the betrayal hurts j think you have to be happy that you aren't tied to this woman or owe her anything, the split will be as easy as it can be and because of that not long from now you will be in a better and happier place.

the misc is so biased

everyone wants the female cheater to get what's due

get dumped, get embarrassed, know her place

not one single post has said anything about the guy cheat and what needs to happen to him

OP, beat his ass or bang his wife, or both

mofoker knew and put his interests in front of yours

obviously he did you a favor but you damn well know it wasn't intended for your benefit

I'll have to reread it but I don't think those were his exact words.

Regardless the action she should have took would be to sit down with him and say I really want to get married and give OP a choice.

If he says no then go off on her merry way.

If he says yes then everything works out.

This. What the fuk is so hard to grasp about this? It's inexcusable what she did. If she wanted to get married and knew he didn't want to, then she should've left him.

It's not like it was a one time thing either.. she has apparently been doing it for awhile and hiding it from him which is even more fuked up. She would've cheated regardless if she married him or not.

9 years together without marriage or kids.. What would keep two people together for so long? BOZZ is right lol.

She's obviously a scumbag OP and you had no control over her issues. It isn't that bad considering you had no kids or own her 50% of your wealth. IMO it's a lot scarier when you have more on the line. Think if you had kids and spent 20 years together building a relationship and then she cheats on you? That's ****ing a nightmare to me. Count your blessings and move on. As the Misc always says.. sloot gonna sloot.

Yes. You can also buy a house or work in the same job for fifty years without a contract. But you'll find that most people like something in writing.

If you're not willing to make the commitment they want, they'll go find someone who is. And the process is likely to be messy, involving lots of shouting, screwing around, maybe some slaps back and forth, arguments over property and one of you ending up temporarily homeless.

"It's just a piece of paper." So is money, but we bust our arses for that every day.

This isn't justifying infidelity. It's simply saying that you reap what you sow. The surgeon is not going to have a sterling family life from now on. His wife will hate him and take him for everything she can get, and his kids will turn against him. Twelve years of twelve hours a day to become a surgeon and build wealth and a family, and he tosses it away to fck a chick who's bored with her boyfriend who won't commit. He's reaping what he sowed, too.

If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it.
