Lol who would want to move in with an old, marginally attractive female who already had a child and admitted to having a mental health disorder? I mean, these guys have to be fairly desperate. Somewhat true among humans as well. Misc focuses on how beta it is to take care of another man's kid, but what's even worse is that stepfathers are far more likely to be abusive than biological fathers (and yes, before someone inevitably brings it up, there are exceptions). Considering that single mothers usually become single mothers in the first place because of their poor choice in men, the likelihood of them picking a decent father figure the second time around is pretty fuking low.

I have an aunt who ended up becoming a single mother because her husband died in a car crash a long time ago, and she never married again because she didn't want some dickhead around her kids who would likely never love them like he would his own. She did a pretty good job on her own though and the kids turned out really well.

Sometimes the opposite happens too. I see it all the time in the black community, mother's will create negative associations with their own children and transfer the resentment they have for the child's father to them. ESPECIALLY if the kid looks a lot like him or inherited his mannerisms. It's pretty f*cked up.

On the flip side, one of my friends was raised by a step dad and the guy is a terrific father, over-loving if anything. He's one of the coolest dads I've ever met, when I was in highschool he'd constantly give us all rides and let us chill and sleep over at his place, come down the stairs and hang out with us, gave us advice on getting ready for school dances, etc. It was obvious he REALLY loved his step son and was proactive in his life. Which makes sense since he raised him from a really young age, and he was the only child.

(and his mom was hot as F*CK might I add)
