lol that doesnt mean sht to me. you have to be from a very wealthy family if you want to go into that kind of racing. its not like she got there on skill alone. theres probably a ton of better drivers that will never compete at that level cause they arent super wealthy.

she lost control of the car before the braking stage. you realize at other cars going 170 mph, you can't brake when you choose, but in designated flagged areas? she got hit before that stretch.

also, 3 people died on that track, all men. were they morons who didn't memorize the course also? or is it an inherently dangerous sport where taking tight turns at 100 mph inches from a wall is par for the course?

Wow, this thread is full of butt hurtness on both sides.

but as far as insurance, yes we do pay more at the start, but now after over 10 years without a ticket I pay fairly close (I still pay slightly more 15-20$) to my sister who also does not have a ticket in her life but I pay less than some girls I know who do have tickets/accidents.
I know nothing factual but only tell the truth

Only on the misk does a video of a racecar crash turn into an all-out fight over men vs women drivers.

This - there's a photo somewhere of her missing a rear wheel completely - basically lost a wheel, spun backwards and was into the air in a split second - no air brakes equipped. Glad she survived, I doubt having a penis equipped would have mattered in this instance

That track takes a life every couple of months. I believe a rider on a motorcycle lost his life during a race there not so long ago.

Holy fuk, that was like a rocket. The fact that she survived is a testament to the safety of these cars.
How dare you!

A new study suggests that women, in fact, may be more dangerous behind the wheel than men.

Researchers at the University of Michigan analyzed 6.5 million car crashes in the U.S. between 1998 and 2007. Female drivers were found to be involved in 68.1 percent of all crashes, according to The Daily Mail.

The results are especially surprising given that men were found to drive 60 percent of the time, while women only 40 percent. In other words, women got in more accidents despite driving less than the opposite sex.

Lead researcher Dr. Michael Sivak said they expected to find that male-to-male crashes would account for 36.2 percent of accidents, female-to-female would make up 15.8 percent and male-to-female would make up 48 percent of collisions.

Instead, analysis showed female-to-female accidents made up 20.5 percent of all crashes, much higher than expected. Male-to-male crashes were lower than expected, at 31.9 percent, while male-to-female crashes were close to their predictions at 47.6 percent.

Also, I'd say she's lucky she shunted over the other car and went flying instead of crashing straight into the barricade at that corner...
Best outcome in a worst-case scenario type of thing..
Without reading the articles or thread I'd guess either stuck throttle or brake failure?

She broke her rear tyre and suspension earlier before the original clip making side by side contact with a female asian driver in the pink car. :08

So she had been sliding at full speed sideways and backwards for quite a long distance before she got to the corner in the main crash clip.

It makes it look like a crazy mistake because how all the other cars are going slow but she totaled her suspension and ability to stop or grip long before the corner.

She just got out of surgery and her spinal bone was fixed and luckily her spinal chord was not damaged. She will probably race again.

To be fair, motorsport is dominated by men so a female crash is unusual ay any level. Also any kind of big crash will make headlines. Alonso and Gutierrez at Australia in 2016, or Scott Dixon at Indy last year. Big crashes always get attention, and yeah it's doubled down when it happens to a woman because women are rare at the top levels of open wheel racing. So, good point, but in context it's perfectly sensible to mention age and sex.
