no but that's because I'm not an insensitive azzhole who goes around saying things without regard to how they will be received by others.

but yeah the bolded is my point. If you've seen my posts in other threads, you'll see I don't deny that pitbulls are potentially dangerous dogs. But so are other breeds. I'm all for large breed regulation on some level, where we limit/restrict people from dog ownership based on the breed, or the own person's capabilities, or make some level of obedience training official. Shelters already do it on a smaller scale, but that's more so for the dog's quality of life than it is for safety of the dog and people around them.

Just don't come @ me telling me my dog and his entire breed should be put down, and by association as an owner, I should too. And BSL is not an acceptable alternative, because when it is enforced, it still entails ripping dogs from their homes and putting them down based off nothing more than an association.

Side note my bud has a black lab, got attacked by his friends pit. He’s a big dude, tried ripping jaws open, wouldn’t budge, hillbilly friend screaming to calm down while his dog is crying.

My bud goes for the eyeballs and nearly rips off the pits eye(srs). Went total hulk mode

Find out later the pit killed a neighbors border collie in front of the guys kids. And the family didn’t press charges.

The dog would’ve been shot by me without hesitation.

Back in the day misc used to love pitbulls, what is wrong with you guys.

Obviously ghetto people are attracted to them which is why they have a higher percentage of popularity and wrong upbringing into the statistical mix.

Majority of them dont snap and you cant explain that.

They rarely do, the normal average pitbull leaves a peaceful life. Just because the news overly reports them, and you see another incident, and another, and another, then you get fed up and say, ok this is too much...

dont forget, thats not science. Its overblown in the media because they are an iconic cultural animal by now.

i was bitten by a rottweiler when i was a kid and i'm not scared of them. i kind of can't believe how many of you are being reactionary whimps itt. i would never want to own a pitbull, and there is obviously a problem with there being too many of them in general, as well as stupid owners thinking it's cool to own them for no other reason than they are perceived as being tough. but i've been in the presence of several of them, including dogsitting one, and they have all been very nice. i actually think they're a great breed in some ways, they tend to have funny personalities. but yeah, i wouldn't want to own one just because of their reputation. for example, i wouldn't wanna bring one to a dog park lol
