Lot of those motivation videos of CEO's or actors show them getting up @ 3 am or even 4 am and working out then getting on with their day.

Because they have kids which suck the motivation to exist out of them. They will enslave themselves to money so their family doesn't starve and they can squeeze out few weeks vacation with the kunts every year. It's brutal.

Was at friends thanksgiving on Thursday and everyone is brutally fat.... Although even the non-kid guys were obese now that I think about it lollll.

I don't fukin know.

And for some of these guys their favourite hobby IS lifting... which provides the additional benefits of better health, a stronger, more durable body and stress relief.

No one suggesting that you have to LIVE in the gym like an IFBB pro lol.... stop exaggerating.

90% of 30+ guys who lift are on permanent DYEL status. It takes a big commitment to keep it together.

You are much more wise than this forum gives you credit for.

Ask yourselves these questions

Do I love myself?
Ok, but do I behave like a person that loves themselves?
What should I be doing if I really love myself?
What can I change or let go of thats in the way?

Funny thing is that ALL of these guys would look and FEEL better if they started working out regularly again.

I'm 43 and have been lifting for over 20 years now off & on. Every time I stop I feel like trash..... and once I get back into it I feel godly again. And yes, it's definitely nice hanging out with a bunch of your peers and looking 10 years younger than the rest of them.

I'll just follow this guy around and nod. I think most people in their 30's are busy lifing. Work, marriage, kids. It all takes a toll. Staying in shape doesn't have to take a ton of time though, and they'd be better off if they at least kept somewhat active. I was out of the gym for most of my 30's and got back into it in my upper 30's then way more into it early to mid 40's through the present. It def feels good to look better than the majority of my peers.

Not sure why people never stay fit, but I can say for sure that the #1 reason I've seen fit people become out of shape is due to relationships. Gradually over time you give up your healthy habits whether it's lifting or a sport because it's so easy to stay home with your person or more exciting to go do stuff with them.

Luckily I realized this in my last relationship and won't be making that mistake again.

Lets be real here the majority of people in the US are overweight. It only takes 30-45 min to workout every other day. Meanwhile they spend 4 hours on their phone or watching tv. People are fat because they don't have the motivation to workout.

That's my favourite excuse.... "ZOMG I'm so busy I don't have time to work out!!!"

Meanwhile... they're telling about how they binged the last 2 seasons of TWD this past weekend.

No excuses, but I can literally be half dead and have the TV on in the background. Takes a certain amount of energy to get your ass to the gym.
