I would take the wolves anyday. At least they are more likely to have the courtesy to kill first before tucking in.

What provoked the bear? I would behead the bear and wear it on my head and live out my days in the forest
My guess would be it being an older bear that was struggling to find food before hibernation, which was supposed to begin last month.

I read the story. Any idea what gun he used to kill the bear? I'm assuming some sort of hunting rifle but just guessing.

yikes. I always thought wolves were savages that just shred their prey to pieces. No neck-breaking or skull-crunching like a big cat would do, just whatever available flesh they can get a piece of.

That's a sad story, OP. Animals are serious business.

My neighbor was eaten by an alligator this year. Walking her snack-pack dog next to a swamp at their vacation home and apparently wasn't totally briefed in on how alligators work. So the alligator went for the dog, then she jumped the alligator and it didn't work out for her. The neighbors who reached the scene first found her dog running around and, like, one shoe and her hat or something.

I used to see her and her husband around the neighborhood all the time walking those dogs, now it's just him in that house with the dogs. I haven't said spoken to him because I don't know him that well. I can't imagine having to make the 12-hour drive home with the dog your wife died to rescue. Depressing as chit.
Nah, fukk that. Iโ€™m not doing that.

Excuse me sir, did you just say the lady jumped on the gator to save her dog? She tried to.... wrestle..... an aligator?

That is correct, good sir.

An eight-footer. I imagine it as more of a kicking/slapping thing than a wrestling thing, though. The alligator disregarded the dog, got hold of her, and dragged her into the lagoon.
Nah, fukk that. Iโ€™m not doing that.

Damn. Mirin her balls but not mirin her intelligence. Gators are no joke.

I remember reading an article about some potato in Texas who yelled "Fuk alligators" and jumped into a pond....and was immediately killed by alligators.

Damn if this is for real then RIP, the baby didn't even get a chance at life :/. Being eaten alive by another animal is definitely one of the top 3 worse ways to go out.

I grew up on a river that is infested with gators. In fact their was a record gator caught in the county where I was raised. I never once heard of anyone being attacked by one. We tubed and water skied and all that and the river is filled with people all summer. Crocodiles are a completely different story and I'm not saying that I would jump in the water right next to a gator but I've never heard of anyone being attacked by one

Yeah I don't think they'll regularly go after people unprovoked, but if you do something stupid like throw yourself between the gator and its prey, or jump into a pond full of them, you're asking for a bad time lol.

No doubt. Their is a reservoir close to where I live now and the gators eat the small dogs of people who live on it

With a handgun you better damn well hit them in the eyeball or the throat and collapse their airway... both things you're unlikely to see if they're ready to charge.
