Had literally zero withdrawal symptoms from quitting 12g a day for 5 months. Haven't used it in a while but I enjoyed it as a sedative in the evening. I'm sure they'll end up banning it soon. I've seen those ridiculous hit pieces on par with reefer madness. Hilarious how stupid people still are falling for the big pharma propaganda time after time.

and to answer your other question i made a typo it was meant to read "junkie, addict."

I've edited it now..

Oh well, what you want me to say? I'm sorry that I'm predisposed to acid reflux and other similar problems? If this gives me a small energy boost, is pretty safe and affordable, why shouldn't I'd try it out?

Do you stand outside the pharmacy and yell at old people buying aspirin? Do you call Starbucks consumers junkie addicts?

You're right. the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. it affects people differently. it definitely made me lazy and fogged up my brain. it's just hard to believe that it would do the opposite for anyone.

my main point is that it essentially has the effects of an opioid. even if kratom is less harmful, it's something people should be aware of, and be very careful with. I stand by my recommendation that only those who are trying to kick a worse addiction should fuk with kratom.

don't you get constipated as fuk taking kratom every day?

Starbucks and over the counter drugs don't damage the mu-opioid receptors in your brain to the point your brain cannot re-establish a natural balance after you quit. Oh and about the safety...let's get started. Hot off the press.

You really think that a green sludge sold in a gas station is good for you?? Think about the un-sterile environment these little capsules are made in. Absolutely disgusting. It's already been banned in other countries, including Malaysia, and will be banned here soon. Better to quit now before you get some that are laced with something that WILL kill you. Oh and here are a few thousand people that went through horrible withdrawals.

Is there any evidence that it can't re-establish balance after a short-medium usage? That is a legit concern.

Those 2 articles are somewhat irrelevant. The product can be tested to prevent contamination. I remember fat burners sold on this website being laced with some kind of amphetamine! I would prefer to buy it from atrusted sourcebut I'm aware that any supplement safety claim can only get me so far. And fair enough for the pregnancy, womenshould avoid using that supplement while pregnant, just like many many substances and supplements.

The problem for most people is they can't maintain short usage. Kratom is HIGHLY addictive.

"Next, our scientists analyzed the chemical structure of these kratom compounds against the software to determine its likely biologic targets. The model predicted that 22 (including mitragynine) of the 25 compounds in kratom bind to mu-opioid receptors. This model, together with previously available experimental data, confirmed that two of the top five most prevalent compounds (including mitragynine) are known to activate opioid receptors (โ€œopioid agonistsโ€).

The new data provides even stronger evidence of kratom compoundsโ€™ opioid properties.

The computational model also predicted that some of the kratom compounds may bind to the receptors in the brain that may contribute to stress responses that impact neurologic and cardiovascular function. The agency has previously warned of the serious side effects associated with kratom including seizures and respiratory depression."

This is from an old article. Now they are finding that not only do they bind to the receptors, they have a STRONG bond to the receptors. When you quit after long term use, the withdrawals are equal to that of opiates and for some people who have gone through opiate withdrawal, find it worse. Anything that bonds that strongly to those receptors is going to damage them. Maybe not permanently, but it's going to take a while to feel normal again.

Of course you are a sheep and believe everything the FDA/news tells you. How do you not realize that there is so much money involved that big pharma will do just about anything to try and ban kratom cause they know it works? Put out fake news stories, etc etc etc

And good thing I get my kratom where it's tested before it's sold to me. I don't buy gas station kratom.

Maybe you don't buy gas station kratom. But you are in active addiction I can tell by your angry responses. I guess the thousands of people experiencing serious withdrawal are making it up. Maybe they all work for big pharma? Good day sir. I wish you the best of luck.

Fair enough, I'm very in favor of it being consumed responsibly and all package should contain warning labels.

I'm going to be the bad guy here. As someone who has used it for years, it would be preferable for you to quit early or not even start if you are considering. I'm glad you guys can brag about how little you take and I hope you continue that way, but with anything that builds a tolerance, it rarely stays that way. May take years, but there is a good chance slowly, without even realizing, you can wind up on high doses.

Withdrawals are really bad. Dont fool yourself. I am afraid of coming off because I have started to stop using and got very sick

Than it should not be sold in gas stations? Maybe make it an 18+ product? Maybe keep it behind the counter at pharmacies?

As bad as it sucks I would recommend CT. Stop taking it about 1-2 days before you have a 3 day weekend coming up where you have no obligations. You're going to need this time for the acute withdrawals. After that, you should at least be able to function at work although you'll probably still feel sick for the next week or two after.

I became a regular kratom user and I argued with people just like the guy defending it on here. Honestly, I just feel bad for people that are taking it and getting in over their heads without knowing what they're up against. Wouldn't wish what I went through on anyone.

Agreed. This is kind of what I did when I quit smoking cigs a few years ago. It felt like I had the flu 2 times back to back. Real nasty. Another issue compounded for me is I suffer from depression. One of the reasons I think I was drawn so heavily to kratom. But holy ****. The way it effected my mind was scarier than the actually pain withdrawals. I have read many things backing what I felt. Apparently that can last a long time

Well regardless I do not think it should be made illegal. I will continue to take it because I like how it makes me feel and how it motivates me in many different aspects. I am not angry either, but I think some of you kunts are annoying trying to dictate what other people put in their own bodies especially if it is helping THEM.

I got some powder online a while back but haven't tried it yet. What's the recommended way of preparing it? Just mix 2 tsp with some hot tea?

What effects are there with doing kratom and drinking a few beers at the same time have?

Remember the story of the kid who thought he was getting Kratom from one of the RC sites, was send ******** instead. Immediately went into a coma, long hospital stay, was lucky to survive. Totally ruined his bodybuilding career. Stay safe.
