Kinda agree. Use to go to TJ regularly. Also Ensenada and Rosarita. Get **** face drunk. Never had a problem other than never getting my money back (always bring exact change).

One day, in the USA I was taking a piss in the rest room of a Target store. Some gang member looking Mexican is next to me and starts speaking Spanish to me. I say 'no abla Espanol' . And the dude got legit angry looking and started lecturing me about La Rasa. I'm half white, half Thai and I actually can speak some Thai. No part of me is Hispanic.

I think a lot of the Mexicans really hate "white" Mexicans and it probably wouldn't take much for things to go violent when they know they can get away with it. In Mexico, they can get away with it. Very corrupt place (and looking like our government is corrupt, thank God for Trump).

I was talking to a Mexican recently (From Chihuahua) and asked about Cartel's/danger of living there. According to him its not much different from the USA. Decent people who avoid drugs/ associating with lowlives can live their entire lives without any issues. Unless your really naive and just randomly end up in a cartel area nothing will happen. Started googling the city and it looks pretty damn nice in the down-town and tourist areas.





People don't just get tortured and killed without reason. They either tried to make a deal to mule narcotics over the border or they owed someone money over narcotics. The article states its a high crime area known for drug's. None of them lived there but one supposedly visits a family member there frequently. I'm sorry but you don't travel an hour from your BBQ to a high crime drug area on a whim.

I went to Tijuana and cops pulled us over in the taxi and just went through our wallets for money. Oh well, we aren't going to fight it, money stolen is money stolen they could have jailed us on false charges.

people in this thread act as if you need to be doing something illegal for you to get murdered in mexico, nope, the phrase "wrong place, at the wrong time" that exist in many many spots in mexico. Mind your business, turn your cheek if you see something going down, you didn't see nothing!
